Gradually add the flour mixture to the chocolate, stirring until just combined. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the top of the batter with the remaining 1 cup [180 g] of chocolate morsels.

In the book, Snoop calls this his "greatest recipe", noting that the key is to make sure they're nicely baked.Granted, Snoop Dog might not be the first person you think of when it comes to baking, but his new cookbook, 'From Crook to Cook', might well leave you surprised!" -- Food Heaven Overall, this is a really good cookbook fo shizzle! We’re having a lot of fun with it. The recipe titles are catchy and there’s some interesting reading in between. Every recipe has a story and it’s a plus getting to know a little more about Snoop Dogg and his food preferences. It definitely has some nice personal touches. I gave “From Crook to Cook” a serious read, and I loved what I saw. I think you will too! Give this cookbook your undivided attention. You will be glad you did.

The rapper Snoop Dogg has a domestic side. First came his TV show with Martha Stewart, now he's written a cookbook." -- The Times Weekend

In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Swirl the skillet to cover the bottom completely. When the skillet is hot and the foam has subsided, add the bread. Lightly toast for about 2 minutes per side, or until golden. Transfer to a cutting board and spread the mustard on one slice of bread. Return the skillet to the heat and add the bologna in a single layer. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crisp. Flip the bologna and top each slice with the American cheese. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes more, or until the cheese starts to melt. I was actually planning on making jambalaya for dinner at some point this week so I had all of the ingredientsesssssss all ready to go that could be morphed into Snoop’s “Dirty South Gumbo” and since I was working from home I had my lunch hour free to make the thirty minute roux necessary to start this recipizzle. Okay, I’ll stop torturing you with the Snoop lingo now. From the moment we heard Snoop had put together his own cookbook, we had to get our hands on a copy. Twenty-five years on from his now iconic debut album Doggystyle, we find ourselves perusing a collection of his favourite recipes rather than songs. From Cook to Crook is a genuinely funny look through what the big man likes to eat, with great photos and 50 mouthwatering dishes." -- The Malestrom

The Last Meal wasn't Snoop Dogg's last meal at all. Nearly 20 years after the rapper released his fifth studio album, he's gone and written a cookbook: From Crook to Cook, published 23 October. 'From Cook to Crook, Platinum recipes from tha boss Dogg's kitchen' has been eagerly awaited since it was announced earlier this year." -- inews.co.uk No. Snoop’s cookbook is far from vegan but it contains some healthy meals and great ideas for different diet plans. 3. What’s Snoop Dogg’s favorite food? We had to try Snoop’s ‘Spaghetti de la Hood’ because the picture in the book was so enticing, and we're hardcore spaghetti fanatics--eating it at least 3-4 times per month. This is a nice basic spaghetti with meatballs recipe, but there were a few things I personally didn’t like about it. I’m used to baking my meatballs rather than frying. The meat mixture almost seemed dry, but they turned out really good. The sauce didn’t have loads of flavor. Our family is used to having some Italian spices in the sauce like oregano and marjoram, plus some added spice from cayenne pepper. This recipe only called for a bay leaf, but it was still really good. Everyone really enjoyed it and I think this is one my son will want to make again in the future. It really isn’t hard to modify the recipe and add in the spices you want for your perfect sauce. So, like I said, this one starts with a roux (that’s one cup oil to one cup flour, whisked together on medium heat and then stirred every few minutes to prevent burning for 20-30 minutes for those who don’t know) and then a minced version of the “holy trinity” (but with red bell peppers rather than the standard green this go ‘round) added to complete the base . . . .Place the fried bologna and cheese on the toasted bread slice without mustard and top with as many chips as you and your sandwich can handle. Place the pan in the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, rotating the pan about halfway through the baking time to ensure even cooking, until the brownies are set and the edges looked baked. When looking for a great cookbook, first consider the kinds of food you’d like to try. Are you interested in going out of your comfort zone and making a dish from a different country, or do you want to stay within the kinds of meals you are familiar with? Are you going on a new diet where you omit certain foods like gluten or meat from your meals, or are you looking to expand your palate and add in new ingredients you’re not familiar with? A favourite munchie was discovered when I had the bright idea of throwing that bologna in a frying pan," he writes. "But now that we moved on up, like The Jeffersons, that bologna turned into the finest aged meats. We ain’t eating this just cuz we have to. These days we eat it because what would go better with that thang we love to do so much. Maybe I’ll start making it with some “smoked” Gouda now." None of the recipes required special skills or cooking techniques, and all of them could be perfected without much practice. Which is more that I can say than a lot of other recipes out there these days. Also, I'm all for cookbooks that help people make tasty, homemade versions of their favorite restaurant comfort foods so this gets my stamp of approval!" -- Michelle No, Buzzfeed

It has pride of place on my cookbook shelf - and not just for the novelty value." -- Harriet Addison, The Times Snoop Dogg just ventured into the cookbook world with From Crook to Cook: Platinum Recipes From Tha Boss Dogg's Kitchen and we're here for it - gin and juice and all." -- Popsugar Now that he is on a show with Martha Stewart, it was only natural for the Doggfather to drop his own cookbook, which includes easy food recipes and his own unique take on gin and juice." -- Bravo TVWorld renowned recording artist Snoop Dogg has published his first cookbook, following the success of his food television show with Martha Stewart. The recipes are full of the rapper's take on everything from mac and cheese to filet mignon." -- BookRiot
