Our tester also highlighted the included USB-C charging cable, which made charging through a laptop or extra wall adapter plenty feasible.

As we just mentioned, it’s the most powerful mini massage gun we’ve tested to date. So why not recommend it? For starters, it’s obnoxiously loud. Still, you can use the app with your device to learn different massaging techniques – what to do and what not to do. Unlike the Go 2, the latest version of the Theragun Mini actually connects to a smartphone app via Bluetooth. The Therabody app allows you to access a library of wellness routines and helps to guide your massage with smart technology. The Go doesn’t even offer half this kind of power. The percussion range is 2000-3200rpm which gives you an even wider range – you can start lower than what you get with the Go. When compared to other mini massage guns like the addsfit Mini, the LifePro DynaMini, or the Ekrin BANTAM, there’s no question the GO has a slight advantage. The percussion is a bit stronger which is apparent right off. That’s not to say that the other, less expensive alternatives aren’t powerful enough, however.It’s also important to note that it’s compatible with other Hypervolt attachments. So if you already own a full-sized Hypervolt this shouldn’t be a cause for worry. Relatively quiet, and small enough to travel with you to work or gym, or to take on a long-haul flight, the Hypervolt Go does everything a larger massage gun does, without the bulk or heft. The Hypervolt Go 2 is Hyperice's smallest, lightest, quietest, and least expensive massage gun with, ironically, the most powerful force. Its slanted rubber handle is easy-to-use, and its noise levels only rise to 55 dB maximum. This device contains a brushless high-torque 40-watt motor that can expel forces up to 3200 rpm. Like other Hypervolt massage guns, the Hypervolt Go 2 comes with a one-year warranty, the Hyperice app, extra head attachments, and TSA approval. The Go has a stall force of about 15 pounds and a stroke length of 10 millimeters, meaning it's not the best choice for deep tissue massage, but is great for a surface-level massage. Of course, you don’t have to utilize the app to use the Hypervolt Go, but we think that with the app’s expert videos, the Hypervolt Go is a next-level device that can change your recovery for the better. There’s no doubt that the Hypervolt Go is priced at the more expensive end of the market, but the companion app, ergonomic design and high performance make this massage gun worth investing in. Even though Hyperice aren’t known for long amplitudes like their rivals Theragun (we didn’t think the Go would match the Mini’s 12mm amplitude), its 10mm amplitude is more than enough for its purpose. Hypervolt GO measured amplitude: 10.6mm. More than enough. One reviewer wrote: “This is a very good quality massager. It was recommended by my massage therapist because of my very knotty muscles. It’s easy enough to simply use the Hypervolt Go as you wish, to target specific areas of tension or ache, but the app also helps users to look for routines to manage injuries, warm up muscles or cool down after exercise. By far the best alternative to the Hypervolt Go. It offers everything that is missing on the Go. It may have the same design, similar shape, and even the same angled handle, but it’s much smaller in comparison.The portability factor clearly is its #1 selling point. Given that it’s about 1/3 the size of other massage guns and weighs just 1.5lbs, you will definitely be more inclined to tote the GO around versus a full size one.
