About this deal

Kill Switch is a romantic suspense suitable for readers 18+. It is advised to read Corrupt (Devil's Night #1) and Hideaway (Devil's Night #2) prior to reading this book.

Ok, I am clearly in the minority here, but this book was definitely not my favorite. I LOVE Penelope Douglas, and the Fall Away Series is my all time favorite. I also loved Punk 57, and while Corrupt was ok, I did really enjoy Hideaway. This book however, not so much. Damon in my opinion, had no real redeeming qualities. He was a complete tool for the majority of the book (and throughout both previous books) and then all of a sudden he is a nice guy and everyone just forgives him? It was weird. I also never fully understood why Winter hated Damon so much after her accident and why she didn\’t want to have anything to do with him in high school. He didn\’t cause her accident and she knew that, so I just didn\’t understand where she was coming from. In all of these books, there is some sort of group sex scene, and while sure it\’s kinda hot, these friends are all very incestuous and the storyline becomes very hard to believe. I am also finding with each book that I really can\’t stand Rika. Everyone in some way or another worships her, and I can\’t figure out why. She is obnoxious. That being said, I will continue with Will\’s story because I want to see this series through to the end. Edit: still 1 star after reading it. This book was too long and it felt like a first draft. Her editor did her dirty because this book felt like a watt pad fiction and needs tons of work of edition. Let’s start from the beginning:

She took care of me.” My voice dropped to nearly a whisper, and I didn’t care that she didn’t know who I was talking about. “She listened to me. Made me smile.”

But I was wrong. Three years came and went too fast, and now he’s anything but calm. Prison only gave him time to plan. Again WHY COULDN'T THIS HAPPEN BEFORE EMORY SAID SHE LOVES WILL. Now you can argue with me that, we know they both love each other even if they don't confess it, so what is the big deal? Yes I know, but I feel like confessing is a huge deal in a relationship and should not be taken so lightly. So scenes like this is a deal breaker FOR ME when it happens AFTER the confession. Now since there are spoilers in my review, I will put the big ones under spoiler tags so other people can still enjoy this one ;) Step two… Give her, her sister, and her mother nowhere to run and no fuel to escape. The Ashby women are alone now and desperate for a knight in shining armor. THE FACT that PD spent MORE TIME writing the orgy scenes instead of the make up sex that went on between Will and Emory *calls my lawyer* He stepped up to me, and I could smell the tobacco on him, as well as the fragrance of his clothes, the expensive fabric and the leather of his shoes. The fountain? I searched my brain through my confusion, not coming up with anything that stood out as out of the ordinary. I was eight, so I couldn’t remember every detail.
