Eucerin ®UreaRepair Plus lotion can be used if lotion required however it has been registered as ‘cosmetic’ rather than as medicines which means that it is notavailable on prescription. It is a sterile no sting skin barrier for use as protection from the harmful effects of corrosive bodily fluids, friction and adhesive trauma. How does LBF Sterile Barrier Film work? Other first line options are Epimax ®ointment and Liquid & white soft paraffin ointment (Fifty:50®). Foam cleanser replaced byMedi Derma-Pro® Foam and Spray Incontinence Cleanser in the 2021 update of the barrier products formulary.

First choice - Dermol ® 500 Lotion (less greasy than Dermol ® cream). Recommended for aditional use as soap substitute. The LBF® Barrier Cream (CliniMed) provides an effective barrier to protect intact skin from the harmful effects of bodily fluids, such as stoma output and excessive perspiration. Protective dressings – You may have been given a dressing such as Aderma® or Siltape® to help protect your child’s skin from rubbing. This acts as an extra layer of padding between either the device and skin or the bed and body. Barrier films will not affect dressing application and are simple for both healthcare providers and patients/carers to use.
