Description

Like the lower powered Spider Farmer models, the SF 7000 has a dimming knob and two daisy chain ports so you can connect multiple lights instead of plugging several lights into one outlet. Whether you’re considering a Spider Farmer grow light or another brand, it’s important to consider a couple of things about grow lights that’ll help you make the best decision. The design of the grow light also plays an important role. A boxy purple LED grow light is an older desgin that isn’t as good at spreading light, and the purple light is not as good as the white light. Grow lights for succulents, leafy greens, herbs, green houseplants, and as supplemental lighting: TS600, SP150, TS1000

This type of recommendation will help prospective buyers discover the possible potential and specialties of Mars Hydro LED grow lights in practical application. Plants grow naturally even if growing indoors, so they experience the same growth stages from seed, germination, seedling, and vegetative, to pre-flowering, flowering, fruiting, or harvesting. There are also growth stages such as pollination development in some strict breeding labs, such as cloning in plant expansion, etc. First generation Spider Farmer grow lights feature a dimmable Mean Well driver. The dimmer on the older models is located on the underside of the driver. You need to unscrew the Mean Well driver from the LED board so you can access the under side of the driver where the dimmer is located. This recommendation is more suitable for growers who have already determined the planting (flat)area or plant species, especially when you’ve already invested in grow tents. My video review was originally for the TS2000W, but I have since bought 6 of the TS3000 lights. Other than size, area coverage, and wattage used, they are basically the same for operation and installation. I have had most of these lights over a year and they are the best of the ones I have tried. I used a wattage meter to measure the actual wattage used. At full power, the TS3000 uses 436 watts vs. 298 watts used by the TS2000W. The TS3000 is supposed to cover a 5' x 5' area vs. the 4' x 4' area covered by the TS2000W. The outer area for both fixtures provides a lower PAR level, but this is better for plants that don't require full sun. So fruiting plants (peppers and tomatoes), thyme, rosemary, sage, etc. should be placed under the center of the light, and basil, parsley, etc. should be placed at the outer edges of the lighting. Spider Farmer’s 2.9 micromoles per Joule is at the very high end of efficiency compared to most other grow lights that typically fall between 1.5 and 2.4 uMol/Joule. Fanless design LEDs used by the SP-3000 are of high quality, manufactured by Samsung and Osram. This light can be used to cover a 4 X 5 foot grow area in the seedling and vegetative phases of growth. Mars Hydro uses ultraviolet light. 3. How many lumens is Mars Hydro? If you prefer quality LED grow lights then the Mars Hydro TS 3000w LED grow light would be a wise choice in your growing arsenal (see also Spider Farmer SF-4000 review).

Equipped with Newest SMD LED technology to provide highest PAR/LUMEN output, designed to replace a single-ended 450watt HPS; MARS HYDRO TS 3000 Plants Growing lamp can assure a 30% more return than the old HPS/MH lights and saves up to 50% energy than other led grow lights. The SF-1000 uses 100 watts from the outlet, despite the 1000 number in the name. Compared to other similar LED grow lights for 2×2 feet, this is a little bit lower. Other grow lights go up to 150 watts. The power efficiency is similar to other grow lights.

I don't grow marijuana and don't use a grow tent, but grow most of our vegetables in our basement in two grow rooms. These lights are used in the room that contains larger plants such as beefsteak tomatoes, bell peppers and other peppers, basil, and a number of herbs such as a couple varieties of thyme, a few varieties of oregano, rosemary, marjoram, and more. We have wallpapered the walls in the large plant room with Mylar to reflect light from the fixtures. My lights are placed about 4' apart on the ceiling, so lighting equally covers space between them. The actual spacing between the fixtures is 14". I generally keep the lights at least 24" -3 The SF-4000 uses 450 watts from the outlet, despite the 4000 number in the name. Compared to other similar LED grow lights for 4×4 feet, this is similar wattage with other standard 4×4 foot coverage grow lights. The power efficiency is also similar to other 4×4 foot coverage grow lights. Say your grow light manufacturer states that your grow light emits 1000 micromoles of light at 18 inches above the plants. You know a more appropriate intensity for your seedlings is 250 micromoles. Remember, higher light intensity = higher yields.
