About this deal

As mentioned above, Cool Water was something of a game changer in men’s fragrance fashion. Even in name, it’s a thematically aquatic cologne wish sharp sea breeze notes. Our homerooms were awash in the oversprayed underwashed masses of boys on the verge of adolescence with teachers and the young sunflower drenched girls as our casualties.

if you want just a stronger version of the original cool water forget about it because that's what this is definitely not. The nose does have a tendency to become accustomed to this particular fragrance. However, rest assured that the longevity performs very well and can survive an entire day. The rosemary cooks off leaving only the mint and aquatic scents from the head. The heart emerges with a flora bouquet of jasmine and carnations. Deep notes of sandalwood are present as a reminder that we’re dealing with a rich, masculine fragrance. Base Notes CONS: it's weak to moderate longevity. Personally, I love the scent but not the performance in terms of longevity. You can get a lot of compliments from people who NEVER smelled someone with cool water. Yes, it is generic but it is a classic that you should have in your arsenal to change t hing sup a bit for hot days. And yes, it is a bit weaker in air conditioned places or colder climates and its longevity on suits and clothes is really short. So place them on your pulse spots and ur shoulders.

Davidoff Cool Water’s Composition

I’m a big fan of anything that comes in a blue bottle, mostly because they usually have airy, water smells. But Cool Water is as close a classic as I can call a scent like this. It’s classy, it’s strong, and it always makes me take a moment to stop and enjoy it whenever my husband (and one of my older, married coworkers that happens to have it and use it on rare occasions) uses it and wow, I honestly can’t get over it at times.

I personally don't understand the Sauvage comparison but i agree that there are similarities in the core. Davidoff cool water perfume does have it's own DNA though. The DNA, character, personality and identity of Cool Water is simply gone and replaced with garbage. As the volatile aromatics begin to evaporate, refreshing notes of rosemary emerge from the woodwork and draw us towards the fragrance’s heart. Heart Notes What Coty has done is adding vetiver to a citric peppery and creamy sandalwood scent and they have done a good job. The fragrance follows a current trend using pink pepper and even though it is not listed i personally sense a light Tonka vibe as well. After owning CWP for a short time now, it has grown on me. I now appreciate what it is meant for. A clean dumb reach with a modern feel. The oak moss freshness maintains the cool texture as we delve into the base. This is reinforced by sharp notes of cedar wood, which contrast with a warm musky presence. The musk is undeniably aldehydic with a fatty finish, which ensures that is stays more animal than amber. Well we got home, opened it, and he immediately fell in love. He prefers airy, light scents for me but he needed it to be his, because once we decide whose fragrance it is, the other isn’t allowed to use it as to not ruin the scent for the other one. So once he decided it was his, it was his, and I honestly prefer it that way because I would’ve used this up in a month. Cool Water receives acclaim from some yet is criticised by others. As a general rule, it’s favoured by men but some women do enjoy its freshness. Aspen in its mighty mint green apple opening and lavender heart was such an easy one to enjoy. Not to be outdone the marine coolness and lavender top notes of cool water smelled refreshing as a drink on a hot day.

Just, dont expect a Sauvage clone. Fresh blue shower gel frag that has more in common with Dylan Blue than any other. But even that is a streach. Its a blue clean frag that can resemble many others if you search for it. Will you smell wow... yes you will. Is it something you gotta have if you have BDC, ADG Profumo, Dylan Blue, Sauvage... absolutely not. Maybe you dont like ones mentioned above. Maybe Sauvage annoys you. Maybe Dylan Blue is too zesty. Mayve you cant stand that sharp ambrox. Maybe others are too expensive, too sweet, synthtic... this could be for you. Smooth vetiver with even smoother sandalwood with a touch of watery citrus rose. If you have ever smelled a rose after a rain... that kind of pleasent smell.I have written a review earlier..,but just want to remind myself, that this is a Calone-Evernyl bomb. Sadly, this perfume as an old school classic had gone through severe reformulations and now this is more of Aftershave Lotion, than a perfume actually. The immediate hit of Calone is Cool Water’s trademark. This is what creates the overarching aquatic scent. However, it is accompanied by a discernable lavender bouquet and other cool aromatics. Although pine is a fitting description for this overall fresh sensation, there are underlying hints of peppermint and coriander. This fragrance has reigned supreme for damn near 35 years. The fact that it still smells so incredible makes this a masterpiece. Davidoff Cool Water Oceanic Edition: Ocean Piers and Waves of Rose". IFragrance . Retrieved 2023-03-17. This is a really hard scent to rate. I love having it because I can overspray before working out or just heading out to the store and not worry about running out. It's a nice scent but it's obviously nothing all that unique and the performance is pretty bad.

Consequently, it’s more of a casual fragrance that would struggle in the workplace or during more formal occasions. Instead, reserve it for nights out or evening social gatherings. It is a completely different scent which is surprising because in the traditional sense a perfume or eau de parfum (edp) is usually just a stronger version of an eau de toilette (edt) or eau de cologne (edc) due to a higher content of the same perfume oil. Not in a "bad scent" awful but in the sense that the fragrance dissipates immediately. Like you bought water in a bottle. So I know that designer freshies aren't really that popular when it comes to enthusiastic thinking. It's recycled a lot and I guess that's what we'll keep getting considering fresh fragrances in the future. It's warranted when people dislike it, because the aromatic, spicy and citrusy combo has been done in huge quantities. There's plenty that smell just every so slightly different each time so hey, if you want a freshie then good for you man as you'll have more choice.
