About this deal

and again - more burny than i like, but still tasty and fun and much better than the microwave essplosion of last night Add all ingredients into a microwave-safe mug. I always recommend starting with a larger mug so you have enough room to mix all your ingredients and have enough room for the cake to rise. Since this is supposed to be a single serving dessert, the end result should only be about the size of an unfrosted cupcake. You can then replate the cake in a smaller mug, which is what I did here. then, i transferred it to my personal favorite (glass) mug, which is NOT microwave safe 'cuz it's got too much bling. foiled again by foil. Flourless Nutella Banana Mug Cake | I love the combination of banana and Nutella, but I don’t always want to make a whole loaf of banana bread. So, this easy mug cake is the answer when I get a craving.

They're fast. You can have your cake and eat it, too, in less than 20 minutes. Exactly what you need for those late night "I will kill someone if I don't have chocolate now!" cravings. i'm not sure how i feel about this one yet. it really tastes like coffee, and that's disconcerting to me. i like coffee when it is a liquid, but i have never liked other coffee-flavored things. i only had one bite; i gobbled too much of the other one and filled up of course, i probably should have been paying attention to the flame instead of taking pictures, and it got a little darker than i wanted Ingredient Molten Nutella Lava Mug Cake | I love molten chocolate cakes. For me, my ideal lava cake has a very light, delicate cake shell, with a hot, molten, liquid center. This is exactly how this cake turns out. And it’s Nutella flavored, which just makes it even more amazing. For a simpler cake, try my 4-Ingredient Nutella Mug Cake, too. Recently, I realized the one mug cake I haven’t made is a simple vanilla mug cake. So, I decided to create one to add to the collection. Vanilla Mug Cake

Flourless Chocolate Avocado Mug Cake | This flourless chocolate avocado mug cake is super fudgy and chocolatey. It’s also paleo, vegan and gluten-free. Ingredient Flourless Peanut Butter Mug Cake | This cake is peanut buttery, but also light and fluffy. You won’t believe it’s flourless. If you have peanut butter, eggs, and sugar you have everything you need to make it! More Creative Mug Cake Recipes i hadn't read the recipe closely before i started, and i thought it would only take two (NLGM), so i'd planned to use my two leonard cohen mugs because theme. but then i realized this one had metallic accents, so microwave = not cool.Triple Coconut Mug Cake | If you love coconut, this is the cake for you. It’s made with coconut oil, coconut milk with coconut flakes inside the cake and on the top. Chocolate Chip Mug Cake | This single serving microwave chocolate chip mug cake starts with a fluffy brown sugar cake base mixed with chocolate chips. It cooks in just 1 minute and tastes like a chocolate chip cookie that got turned into a cake. I did think that even though these cakes are so gooey already, that they needed a little more oomph. One of my favourite things at Easter was to add a frozen creme egg in the middle of the mug and it was so ridiculously yummy I couldn’t cope, but I never got round to posting it in time. So, as Easter is now long gone and all the treats are out of the shops again… I thought why not just use some actual chocolate?! this mug may have been too small. and i forgot to put more peanut butter on top under the nuts, but for my first attempt at mug-cookery, i think it turned out pretty good.

i'm not sure how anyone could fit an entire pear in a proper mug and not have the cake explode up around it. plus, this is adorable i didn't have any fresh cherries, and they're out of season anyway, so i just used a chocolate-covered cherry, which i did have on handIt was hard to believe all the different types of cakes that were in this book. I figured I had thought of them all. Not even close. There are several "special diet" variations and substitutions too,, like dairy free, sugar free, gluten free, vegan etc. I did not see a substitution for oil or butter, but I have always used banana, avocado, pumpkin puree, mayo, or my favorite, yogurt. I choose, depending on the cake flavor. (Gotta keep those calories down). The first cake I made was (yogurt) chocolate cherry, with fresh cherries. Outstanding! i wasn't sure i was going to love this - i already have a perfect banana bread recipe and it sure doesn't have any golden raisins in it. but this one was good. before frosting: it's a shame, because i was really looking forward to using the blowtorch. i will try again tonight, and then make one just for today.

Both of my daughters (18 and 10 years old) easily followed the instructions to make their own mug cakes without any supervision. i was surprised at how much this one tasted like coke/cherry coke. but i'm running out of room AGAIN, and still one to go, so i have to shhh.
