He is introduced when Woody finds him on a shelf, after Andy accidentally ripped Woody's arm and his mom took him, where Wheezy had been placed after his squeaker broke, upsetting Andy. Wheezy does not directly appear in Toy Story 3, except in footage showing Andy as a young boy. Woody says that Wheezy was one of Andy's toys who went to new owners. This illusion is encouraged by Mason's greater interest in a new video game system that he received for Christmas, and they become hostile to Mason's other toys and to Bonnie's when they are brought over for a playdate. However, Trixie is eventually able to convince them that being played with brings its own joy, and they happily embrace their life as toys.
