This is the first season to credit only the Rangers in the opening titles without any allies or villains. The Ranger teams whose powers are said to have never existed come from Sentai teams that were not adapted into Power Rangers. Some of these Ranger teams are expanded on in Boom! Studios comics.

Power Rangers Megaforce" was trademarked by Saban Brands in 2011 during the run of Power Rangers Samurai. Casting sides released in April 2012 match with the blue and silver rangers of Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. When de-morphing voluntarily, the Rangers often shouts "Power Down!" with a few exceptions, such as the Zeo Rangers saying "Zeo (number) Power Down" TV STORY- King for a Day or the Wind Rangers saying, "Ninja Form!". The morphing command is " Super Mega Mode!" when morphing into Super Mega Mode and " Legendary Ranger Mode!" when morphing into past ranger forms. The GekiChangers seen in Gekiranger were not used for morphing purposes in Power Rangers and were instead integrated into Jungle Fury as Battle Claws.

Before a team morph, a leading Ranger may call on their teammates to Power Up! or Ranger Up!. Conversely, morphed Rangers may cancel their transformation by announcing Power Down!, or involuntarily when assaulted by an opponent. In battle, Super Megaforce Green and Super Megaforce Pink will typically trade their Sabers with Blue and Yellow in exchange for their Blasters when extra weapon power is needed.

Legendary Mode: which allows the rangers to transform into any of the past 18 teams of Power Rangers that have preceded them.In Blaster Mode, Orion uses a Ranger Key to perform its Final Strike where Super Megaforce Silver fires an extremely powerful blast with a recoil strong enough to send him flying.
