I was over the moon excited to receive an ARC of this book, but now I am almost sad about that, because I wish I could still look forward to all of the goodness that is Struan and Thea. Scar is the third book in the Dark Island Scots series. This one centers around Camden (Scar) and Breeze. So many twists and turns which is very common with this series. These Dark Island men are learning more about the secrets of their lives. I think I’m more invested in learning all these secrets than they are at this point. Scar really steps up and becomes the leader of the family. I felt like he was done letting Sin carry all weight and started doing his part for the family. There’s something really hot about that too.Defective?” Her eyes darted between Lou’s expression of fake sympathy and the small bite of scone Callum hadn’t eaten yet. “It looked fine.” Now.. can I talk about how I now have a tattooing kink? It exceeded my expectations, The book was full of surprises and twist, and that some of them I did not expect them. I had so much fun reading.And don’t get me started on the spiciness of this book they were chef’s kiss.

The sighting of the other McRae's warmed my heart as well as the family that you could see building between the boys. They may not always like their family, but they will always love them. I was attached and felt like I was there on the island experiencing these events with the characters. II read into the early morning hours because I couldn't put this down. When her evil uncle seeks to destroy Ella's happiness, a wedding is the only way to save her inheritance. Gordain is the only man she’d consider asking. But can he fake-marry someone he truly loves? Camden and Breeze meet under unusual circumstances. Breeze is looking for her missing sister and employing desperate measures to do so. Initially, she has completely the wrong idea about Camden, but little by little she begins to realise just how wrong. Camden and his family are looking for their missing brother and trying to locate their little sister, too. So much happens in this story, as it gradually unfolds and we get more revelations and links between the characters. My only disappointed was, I wish I would have held off until the other audiobooks were released to start this series. The chemistry between Struan and Thea was pretty hot. I was completely down with his hot demanding dirty talk…I just ADORED this story! It was dark, gritty and scorchingly passionate. This author has always been fantastic at her craft, but I definitely feel that this series will push her up to another level. Thea's personal journey from meek and gentle girl into a woman of courage, who fights to take control of her life, was heartwarming and almost victorious. I loved her innocence, her good heart, and her passion for Struan. In turn, I adored how Thea made him feel - giving him the tenderness, love and belief that he'd been crying out for all his life. Struan was a brash hothead but I loved his fierce possession of Thea, and the way she made him feel vulnerable and raw. They made an unlikely pair but were so right together. Such an amazing start to a new series!

Always good seeing my bae Gordain in these books. Even though that series is separate it’s refreshing seeing them in this series too. There’s a few strands from the previous books, as it builds upon the overall world, creating plenty of arcs for long-term readers. Featuring the McRae Clan as well, there’s plenty of recurring characters and cameos from a number of familiar faces. That being said, while it does cater to fans, it’s also accessible to newcomers, with its central story being stand-alone and self-contained.
