About this deal

In some older books, herbs were often divided into either “masculine” or “feminine.” Masculine energies were hard, active, hot, and projective. Feminine energies were soft, passive, cool, and receptive. Calendula is also known as pot marigold or English marigold, not to be confused with American marigolds of the Tagetes genus. Uses: The ground root can act as a coffee substitute, and the flowers make a lovely wine. A superb cleansing tonic and the milky juice is a diuretic, a tonic and a relief for common stomach problems. Use a handful of flower tops to 1 pint of boiling water, steep 10 minutes and strain. Drink this several times a day. Use the milky latex from the stem, rub on a wart several times daily and soon it’s gone. Also good for night blindness.

I love researching plants for new ingredients, its where most searches for new medicinal materials start too – we have a huge treasure trove of plants to search through. If there is something in synthetic skincare, there is usually an alternative in plant material – botanical silicones from millet, plant-derived hyaluronic acid, lupine peptides. But the big difference is plant materials are alive, non-inert materials which of course brings challenges, but it brings so much more too.Echinacea - Adds a boost to clairvoyant and psychic abilities. Adds powerful strength to spells used in money drawing magic, fertility and abundance and provides the user with protective power. Element Earth. Used in ritual by the ancient Druids, this extremely bitter herb is beautiful to behold, with clusters of blue-purple flowers on tall, leafless stalks. Vervain is native to Europe while its cousin, Blue Vervain, Verbena hastata, is native to North America and is more commonly used in herbal medicine. Druids used Vervain for divination, consecration, and the ritual cleansing of sacred spaces; it is said that they harvested Vervain in August during the dark moon, when only Sirius the Dog Star is visible in the night sky. Vervain is also said to inspire poets and aid them in their work, and bards would often drink Vervain before performances or soliloquies. Garden sage (not to be confused with white sage, Salvia apiana) has a long history of use in European witchcraft. Uses: Sweetens breath. Antiseptic, antibacterial and hypotensive. For chills and sore throat, the juice of a lemon mixed in a glass of honey and warm water, taken 3 times daily should help. For nose bleeds, apply a small piece of cotton, soaked in lemon juice. In oil form it is used for treating warts, insect bites, tension headaches, eliminates cellulite, and is an anti-wrinkle tonic. Stimulates the digestive system. Also makes a good skin cleanser, hair rinse for blondes, Long before you choose your herbs, you need to know the goal you have for them. In witchcraft, setting an intention is the process getting down to the heart of what you desire.

Uses: Has been known to slow bleeding, aid colds, ease burns. As a poultice or a tea, comfrey may be applied to bites, sores, rashes, broken bones, and cuts. Also a good ingredient for lotions to soothe sunburn. On St. Luke's Day, take marigold flowers, a spring of marjoram, thyme, and a little Wormwood; dry them before a fire, rub them to powder; then sift it through a fine piece of lawn, and simmer it over a slow fire, adding a small quantity of virgin honey, and vinegar. Anoint yourself with this when you go to bed, saying the following lines three times, and you will dream of your partner "that is to be.": Some old recipes call for wormwood tea, wormwood oil, or wine infused with wormwood. Be very careful here, as wormwood is toxic in large doses or over prolonged exposure. Never use pure wormwood oil topically — always use a well-diluted infusion instead. In herbal magic, it’s often said that rosemary can stand in for any other herb, much as a white candle can stand in for any other color. Jasmine is used for meditation, relaxation, and dream magic, but it’s strongest as a love herb. In love mixtures, it tends to produce a very physical, passionate effect.
