The Koma people of Yola, Adamawa state are dwellers of the Alantika Mountains which covers the area between Yola and Northern Cameroon. This tribe of naked walking people was discovered in 1986 by a member of the National Youth Service Corps. This Corps member was posted to go serve at the then Gongola (now known as Yola) area of Northern Nigeria. They are inhabitants of the mountains in the Gashaka Local Government Area of Taraba state and are descendants of the famous Kwararafa Kingdom.
