As you saw in this Akaso Brave 6 Plus review, Akaso is constantly trying to satisfy its customer base adding cool features like voice control and filter options. The build of the camera itself is better than many other budget action cameras of this price, despite the slightly plastic looks. Before using the slow-motion mode, be sure to turn off the image stabilization because they cannot be used together. Loop Recording

In-Depth Review of the AKASO Brave 6 Plus Action Camera

The Brave 6 Plus and the Brave 7 LE arrived at the same time, two new cameras for the AKASO. AKASO specialise in entry-level action cameras, and some that I’ve looked at in the past have been very good, some OK, and some best avoided. REVIEW – I’ve always wanted an “action camera”, but spending hundreds of dollars on something that I would use only occasionally in my life seemed like a poor choice. The AKASO Brave 6 Plus Action Camera promises performance that would rival the much-more-expensive brands, but does it live up to its spec-sheet? What is it? The photo qualities are also good especially at the maximum 20MP, you can always adjust the different settings to find what suits you best. I’ve been wanting to get an action camera that would go with me and the family on all of our adventures. However, the price of most was not in the range of what I wanted to spend for a camera I would just use occasionally. I can appreciate that brands like GoPro charge what they do for all their gadgetry. But, I was looking for something at a lower price point with some bells and whistles. I found it in the AKASO Brave 6 Plus Action Camera. It’s a portable camera that can help me capture both video and photos. Here is my review of this action camera designed to work outdoors. Features and FunctionalityLike many other budget action cameras, there is an OK performance in the low light video section in the Brave 6 Plus. As with the previous Akaso cameras, the Brave 6 Plus includes 2 rechargeable batteries in the retail box. Each battery has an individual capacity of 1350mAh. I have always used this mode in my trips and activities and I am happy to see it included in this camera also. The camera is fitted with an internal microphone which is of good quality especially compared to what we got in the Akaso V50X.

thx for the review, i especially like info about 0% battery – save the video and turn off. i have feiyutech summon+, and i deliberately tested ‘dead battery’ scenario – it failed – camera shut off, and corrupt the last (20 min) video. Loop recording allows you to overwrite old videos with new ones depending on the interval you specify. Image and video specifications are not bad, at 30fps at 4K and 60fps at 1080p. It can also shoot stills at 20mp. This mode will give you a delay between pressing the shutter button and the actual photo capturing. If you mount the camera and try to film action, say a bike ride, at 4K, 30fps that framerate is to slow, and the footage is jerky. While the camera can shoot 4K, the 4K should be reserved for non-action sequences. To active the front screen, the M button on top needs to be held down for a couple of seconds before the rear screen goes blank and the front screen springs to life in full colour. The reason why the Hero7 White is the cheapest option becomes obvious when you start to look at the other features. The video quality maxes out at 1440p / 60 fps, and the camera only features standard image stabilization. Of course, you also have a smartphone app. This is pretty comprehensive and enables you to take control of the camera and access all the usual features. It’s basic but does the job. In addition to standard recording and photos, the Brave 6 Plus also offers a few other options. For instance, you can take advantage of time lapse mode for gorgeous nature shots. Use an adapter to set your camera on a tripod, and you can record clouds, stars, and other slow-moving objects. You can also use the burst photo mode to get that perfect action shot. A standard slow-motion mode lets you video fast-moving action, and the self-timer is ideal for family portraits.

Getting the camera out into the field and the user interface and ease of use do boost the camera’s potential.Aside from having Wi-Fi capabilities, gadgets are getting smarter with voice recognition nowadays. You can ask most gadgets today voice commands. One of the Brave action cameras has a voice control feature. But surprisingly the photo quality on the Brave 6 is good. There were no distortions and the colors seemed ok, not as vivid as a GoPro but this camera is four times cheaper than a GoPro. Each resolution also has the choice to activate electronic image stabilisation (EIS) which is designed to help smooth out any motion wobble. Shooting action sequences shows much of the detail is lost and a real visual pixelation of the footage.

AKASO Brave 6 Plus Action Camera - GoPro Alternative Review: AKASO Brave 6 Plus Action Camera - GoPro Alternative

It is waterproof up to 40 meters with the case you get in the box, which is pretty great. And it has a diving mode that is specifically designed to make it easier to get great shots underwater. The remote will pair to your camera via Bluetooth connectivity and you will be able to remote control your camera from a distance. hello , I use other cam and i can connect external battery to get more than 1 hour video ( little 6000 mah battery for cycle riding in moutain during several hours , or big 20 000 mah battery for time elapse during more than 24 hours ) . Can we do the same thing with this akaso brave 6 plus ? It’s a mode that you have to enable manually. Definitely do that if you don’t like editing your photos a lot. At the top, there is the shutter button and the up and down buttons which are usually at the side of the camera.
