About this deal

Used all the features as listed. This machine can do minute sewing to heavy-duty. I used for a lot of Velcro, and it worked just fine. Did not try jeans cloth but guess it works. The design is also super cool. The cover is also provided, and that’s quite handy; all things are built into it, so you don’t have to worry. As you’d expect from a ‘Strong and Tough’ sewing machine, the BrotherST371HD is perfect for sewing heavyweight fabrics and multiple layers. Tehokas LED-valo auttaa ompelemaan tarkasti. Koneen kahvan ansiosta voit myös kuljettaa konetta helposti ja turvallisesti. Right: time to get down to the good stuff — what’s the Brother ST371HD actually like? Is it worth its price tag? There’s no stop/start button and sewing must instead be started by moving the feet. This may take a little getting used to for beginners, although shouldn’t prove too much of a problem (even if it is a little inconvenient).

While some sewers might feel that 37 included stitches pales in comparison to some of the machine’s competitors, we think it’s a great number to cover all of your everyday sewing needs. At such a reasonable price point, it’s hard to find any real fault with theBrotherST371HD. Where to Buy theBrotherST371HD

The Brother ST371HD is marketed as ‘Strong and Tough’— hell, it’s even written on the machine!— and so Brother have really gone a long way in ensuring that it lives up to your expectations. Both Singer 4423 and Brother HF27 have the one-step buttonhole feature where buttonholes are sewn in one easy step. You only need to place the button in the buttonhole foot, and the machine sews a buttonhole perfectly sized for that button. The one-step buttonhole feature allows you to make consistent buttonholes every time. The Brother HF27 is leading in the number of built-in stitches with 27 varied stitches to choose from as opposed to the 23 built-in stitches of the Singer 4423. Another couple of things which may deter sewing beginners from theBrotherST371HD is the fact that you will need to set the thread tension yourself by turning the dial at the top of the machine. The Brother HF27 and Singer 4423 have a removable storage compartment gaining access to a free arm feature that can be quite useful when sewing trouser hems, sleeves and other small projects. That’s a level of service you simply won’t get with an unbranded sewing machine, or one from a lesser company. The Warranty

The thing we love about theBrotherST371HD is that it’s reliable and gets the job done. It’s great for everyday sewing as well as for more heavy duty projects.

Both machines have a stitch length and width control feature to adjust the appearance of a stitch. Increasing or decreasing the distance between the stitches is useful for sewing techniques like basting or applique. You can also adjust the size of the stitch from left to right to make your stitch look narrower or wider as required on your sewing project. But, nevertheless, it’s a neat little machine that’s surprisingly light for its heavy duty sewing skills. The heavy-duty Singer 4423 has a machine motor 60% stronger than a standard sewing machine, making it possible to sew at high speeds of up to 1100 stitches per minute. The high-speed way of stitching allows efficient stitching on heavy fabrics and finishing your projects faster.
