In 1981, the Little Miss series of books began to appear. It, too, was made into a television series in 1983, which was narrated by John Alderton, who, with Pauline Collins, voiced the Men and Misses, respectively. Although Hargreaves wrote many other children's stories, including the Timbuctoo series of twenty-five books, John Mouse, and the Roundy and Squary books, he is best known for his 46 Mr. Men books and 33 Little Miss books. Mr. Busy is just that, he sure is busy. He is also really fast at doing things. He zips here and zips there and gets so much done that he has to bother his neighbor Mr. Slow. Mr. Busy looks and sounds almost identical to Gopher from the Winnie the Pooh franchise, except he is large, has a big beavertail, and is brown instead of gray. Little Miss Busy is a yellow bean-shaped little miss, who wears red glasses, brown hair tied with blue pigtails, and green sneakers. Mr. Busy and Mr. Bustle are two human characters who appear in Mr. Lazy. They are identical twins, except Mr. Busy is short and fat and Mr. Bustle is tall and slim. These twins help Mr. Lazy get physical (but they do not realise that Mr. Lazy is not meant to get physical). They love to do work and exercise.
