Darker and Edgier: Compared to Really Rainbow Surprise, the webseries has more dramatic stakes and arcs. However, self-contained episodes do prop up from time to time. Poppy attends the special scavenger hunt with her friends, where they all learn that Poppy's music is played on the radio. By learning this, Poppy and her friends were able to complete the scavenger hunt on time, getting prizes at the end. Her stand fits strangely. The "arms" of the waist piece jut out by a good couple of cm from the doll which looks bizarre and wrong. I can't quite figure out why they designed it this way, it looks very poorly considered.

Law of Chromatic Superiority: Of all the runway group members, Ruby takes on the role as The Leader in most moments due to her being the red ranger. The show had very few animation errors in Seasons 1 and 2, but in Season 3 it had a lot of animation errors such as eyelashes and clothing parts going through body parts. She comes with two full outfits including shoes. Both outfits are decently constructed and well tailored, much as I expect from MGA. Some people have reported loose threads and other defects but mine arrived fine with no obvious flaws in the sewing and all the pieces fit the doll fine.

Her knees can barely manage 90 degrees because despite having a double jointed peanut joint there's no cutout for the lower leg, meaning the joint cannot bend fully as the plastic of the leg stops it. MOST companies would have a little indent or cutout there to allow the joint to move properly but apparently MGA doesn't understand how double joints work and decided it was "good enough" working improperly.

No Celebrities Were Harmed: Stella Monroe is a spoof of Marilyn Monroe and her iconic pink dress seen in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. the doll is also tabbed into the box with far more plastic ties than neccisary. My girl had TWO ties around her waist, why? The upper thigh joints are to allow the doll to sit cross legged and similar but they're 1: extremely stiff when first getting the doll out the box to the point I was worried i'd broken them when I tried to move them and 2: her crappy unfinished knee joint means she can't cross her legs anyway so what's the point?Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: In the ending of “Shining Star”, Krystal selects only one girl out of the runaway group, Ruby, to be on the cover of The SCENE and the other girls congratulate her despite all of them wanting the position. Her body is hefty and seems to be pretty sturdily made and her rubbery hands pop off for easier dressing which I always like to see. Once again Poppy makes a very minor appearance, where she only appears within the group of her friends who spend the episode trying to get Amaya and River dating. There Are No Adults: Downplayed. There are adults in the universe, currently only Lou Wright and Ms. Morton (and the offscreen Ramona Barnes), but they're minor characters. She's briefly seen running to Avery with Ainsley and Shanelle after she tells everyone to spread out to look for Glitch. While white poppies remember both civilians and soldiers killed in war, as well as those killed or imprisoned for refusing to fight.Skyler and Amaya will draw fashions in a matter of few seconds and some shimmering clouds. Even if they have only a pencil, the designs will be colored and the models will have detailed features. Everyone just rolls with it. Suspiciously Similar Substitute: Amaya, Skyler, and Violet look strikingly similar to Rainbow Dream, Blue Skye, and Amethyst Rae from the previous Rainbow Surprise line, with some key differences. Poppy makes a very minor appearance within the episode, only appearing near the end during the school pep rally cheering for Aidan and the football team along with the cheer squad consisting of the other main girls. Meaningful Name: Most of the characters' names derive from puns and plays on words relating to their theme colors. Her paint work is lovely and clean with a subtle glitter eyeshadow and a pearly sheen across her whole face. Poppy Rowan: Poppies are orange, but rowan trees have red-colored berries. As a name, "Rowan" means "little red-head". Additionally, she mainly composes pop music. The clothing pieces are all held in with multiple little plastic tabs which may tear or damage fragile fabrics. Be aware of this. Poppy is first seen heading to class orientation with Skyler and Sunny. When Sunny was feeling down, Poppy cheers her up by playing music on their way to class. She then meets the head of school, Ms. Wright, who assigns the first semester runway fashion show assignment to her and her friends. Poppy is shown with the rest of girls where she finds out that she might be able to be featured in The SCENE. Being excited by this Poppy happily gets interviewed by Krystal. When being interviewed she talks about her Synethesia, a condition where she can see music and how it's the reason for her deep passion. Despite this grand interview, it is revealed that Ruby had won and is now featured on the cover, with Poppy congratulating her. A number of critics took issue with the colourful poppy, urging the LGBT + community to "get some respect". Bella’s “California Dream” shirt references the vintage era of another fashion doll clad in pink. As mentioned before, River’s last name is taken from “Ken doll”. These instances are MGA’s friendlier ways of referencing their competition, unlike last time.
