About this deal

There is no shifting and sliding around with the gusseted tongue of the Ride 15. In addition, it's padded enough (4 mm) to prevent the shoe's rather rough laces from digging into the skin. Saucony kept its FORMFIT system for an adaptive fit depending on your unique stride, and they maintained the TRIFLEX outsole for good traction and flexibility. Even the PWRRUN midsole is the same, which gives it the same dependable ride as before.

Ride | Saucony

OUR VERDICT Saucony Guide 14 is a quality stability shoe that gets the job done with a standout upper and average underfoot experience. Saucony built the shoe to work for a wide variety of foot shapes. Fleet Feet reviewers say the newest Ride fits securely thanks to the accommodating forefoot and dialed-in heel cup reinforced by a rigid internal heel counter. Visually, it looks bulky with its maxed-out cushion. But in hand and on foot, the Saucony Ride 15 is strikingly light. Ride 15 weighs more than an ounce less than the Ride 14, 1.3 ounces to be exact! I don’t ever remember a running shoe shedding this much weight from one version to the next. If you have super narrow feet this shoe may feel a bit roomy. Saucony still needs to dial in the heel fitThe Ride was cut from the same cloth as the Brooks Ghost and the Nike Pegasus. You always knew what you were going to get when buying it. This all changes with the Ride 15.

The grip on the Ride 14 is superb. The outsole design works well and the flex grooves allow the midsole to roll with your foot throughout your stride.Matt: The Ride 14 continues to a stable neutral shoe. There is a heel counter that wraps almost into the midfoot, yet is still cushioned enough that it did not irritate my heel. The heel bevel is smoother now thanks to the softer ride. The wider outsole last really helps in the midfoot as it is more consistent with the rest of the shoe. The very flexible forefoot helps continue forward progression. Saucony shoes also tend to have a little higher arch, which does give a little more proprioceptive cue into the medial arch. This isn't arch support necessarily (certainly not a post), but can still be supportive. Classically Saucony, there is also medial and lateral midsole flare throughout the length of the shoe. Those that need mild support (me) will do fine in this shoe and those sensitive to posting/arch support will not notice this.
