The Sunrise Sisterhood: The perfect uplifting and joyful book

A gloriously pitched mix of single parenting, unexpected love affairs, a possible drinking problem and beachside yoga work together to create a summer read that is all about escapism with a capital E!' StylistNina de Gramont, author of a collection of short stories, Of Cats and Men, as well as the novels Gossip of the Starlings and The Last September. She has written several YA novels ( Every Little Thing in the World, Meet Me at the River, The Boy I Love, and — under the pen name Marina Gessner — The Distance From Me to You). Her new novel, The Christie Affair, will be published in January 2022. It took me some time to warm to Clare as she is the kind of woman who won't accept any help. Although when she breaks her arm, she finds that she has to as she can't manage alone with daughter Ivy. The Idea of You is the story of a woman’s quest to become a mother later in life and what happens when her dream of motherhood seems to be slipping through her fingers in a race against time. It questions the very nature of motherhood and explores the meaning of ‘having it all’ for the modern woman. There were some bumps along the way and some surprises too - but I loved how they bonded and came through for each other in the end. I LOVE what I do! I had always been an avid reader but never had the confidence to actually write and then after getting poorly it made me think about what I really wanted to do with the rest of my life and I knew that writing was what I wanted to do more than anything so I went for it. I still can’t believe how my life has changed. I am thankful every day.

The Sunrise Sisterhood ebook by Cathy Bramley - Rakuten Kobo

There were a fair few storylines weaving around each other and these were really lovely to get immersed in. Salcombe is where it’s at this summer. Where secrets are revealed and all three women find their own way through to live their best lives. I loved it!Overall, this novel could have been improved, I love this author’s novels usually however this novel annoyed me with its inaccuracies and unrealistic ness of common sense. The author has better books out there which I strongly encourage exploring. However, half-sisters Skye and Clare couldn't be more different, struggling with family secrets and hidden jealousies. As the women navigate this unexpected summer together, truths are revealed and their relationships are put to the test.
