As the late seventies emerged, it was a necessity for the toy to be electronic in some way. Electronic toys had been gaining in popularity ever since the early sixties, but by 1979 if the toy didn’t have blinking LEDs, then little boys didn’t want them.

I was looking for something similar and finding it hard to locate or even name. Mine was bigger in build but a wind up with the wheels .(Dynamo ). It was a fire brigade possibly 4 or 6 inches in length and I would love to know what toy I had around ’76 -77 I’d say. Toss Across is a game first introduced in 1969 by the now defunct Ideal Toy Company. [1] The game was designed by Marvin Glass and Associates and created by Hank Kramer, Larry Reiner and Walter Moe, and is now distributed by Mattel. [2] [3] It is a game in which participants play tic-tac-toe by lobbing small beanbags at targets in an attempt to change the targets to their desired letter. As in traditional tic-tac-toe, the first player to get three of their letters in a row wins the game. There are other similar games to Toss Across known under different names, such as Tic Tac Throw. Tetris Tetris was invented in 1984 by Alexey Pazhitnov, a researcher at the Computer Centre of the USSR Academy of scientists… On the signal, throwers throw tennis balls over the opponent's catchers, to their catching teammates.Recently played this game on the tennis courts...worked great!! Tennis balls were flying everywhere, but were well contained. Beginners were able to catch off one bounce. Like Tic-Tac-Toe, players aim to be the first to get all three letters, X or O in a vertical, horizontal, or diagonal line. The big difference is how the win is achieved.

I am looking for a doll with red hair, a sweater with multicolor lines, and red/orange pants. She could walk, and she came with a basketball, soccer ball. Was kind of like a tomboy. If I remember correctly, the doll was called Janet. Can’t seem to find any doll like her in my searches. Would be very grateful for any information. Each player can undo not only the other player’s turn up but their own turn up. Another additional challenge that usually happens by chance is that a player can flip more than one target in one toss. At times, the target may not flip after a throw depending on how good the throw was. comments, etc. so others can benefit from your tips. Please be helpful and positive with all comments. Look below to see all posted comments.Games were still played until someone got three in a row, but the element of chance kept Toss Across tense and unpredictable until the very end. One was a fan controlled balloon (I think with a lunar lander base) – I think it had a tether to keep the balloon from continuously flying further away. Fun Fact: A single toss can flip more than one target. One minute your opponent may be winning - the next, you are! For Team Play

With practice, players can become increasingly adept at hitting the precise location on the board that they wish, enabling them a better chance of affecting the square they wish to change. The aim of Human Tic Tac Toe is to acquire three Xs or Os in a row on the life-size game board. Human tic tac toe is a fun game for people of all ages that may be used as a summer camp activity, a family event game, a gym class activity, and more. Make this game more competitive by turning it into a relay race. Try adding changes to the basic version if you want a more intriguing challenge. Outdoor game idea

Airball Arcade game designers have always been a creative bunch, generally willing to try any idea (no matter how strange it… There were loads of great toys made in the 70s, but most of them were invented earlier, and then perfected. Many of the toddler toys went unchanged from the sixties, as Fisher Price made the most out of the molds they clearly had been using for 15 years. In 1976 I bought at the San Francisco museum of modern art a wonderful simple toy that demonstrated light color interference. The raised Toss Across game board had a grid of nine free-spinning squares, each with both an “X” and an “O” (and a neutral third side).
