Status: Release January 21, 2023 Necromunda Releases and Images of New Models Ironhead Prospectors Claim Jumper As we said, this has a bit of a random assortment of models, but the value is definitely there! This actually rivals some of the better boxes from Christmas, so if you need all the models inside, this is totally worth grabbing, as you basically get two boxes of Possessed for free! It also contains the new Daemon Prince, which is quite pricey to grab on its own, so that’s very nice.

I think that the whole concept of Boarding Patrols is weird, and I think it goes along with my feelings of the current Kill Team campaign: it seems like it wants to be Space Hulk for all the factions, but they have never gone full Space Hulk (Terminators vs Genestealers.) I suppose if you bought two of these Boarding Patrols, you could come up with Terminators vs Genestealers Space Hulk battle, but only on a limited scale. Anyway, it seems weird. Finally, the Death Guard heed Abaddon’s call, with an obdurate if slimy Boarding Patrol led by a Lord of Virulence. He’s joined by a bodyguard of three Deathshroud Terminators, as well as 10 versatile Plague Marines – three of which are taken from the much-sought-after Plague Marine Reinforcements set. In a world of bloody Boarding Actions, it’s easy to forget the colossal battles that define the 41st Millennium are still taking place. Balefleets are the cohorts raised by Abaddon and Vashtorr, tasked with collecting the artefacts needed to complete their meticulous plan. Meanwhile, here at Warhammer Community we’ll have more from Codex: World Eaters , the next video in our 40 Years of Warhammer series, and plenty more. Let us know in the comments of our Facebook Hobby Group, or our new Discord server, and make sure you enter the latest monthly giveaway for FREE today!Alternatively, you could drop Abaddon (and thus the “all your eggs in one basket” play) and go for a more well rounded force. The Cultists and Legionaries are actually a good start. Maybe take a Sorcerer and a unit of 5 Chosen to round things out? Chaos Cultists: These expendable troops are armed with brutal assault weapons and autopistols, making them ideal for overwhelming enemy positions through sheer numbers. They are perfect for leading the charge into enemy lines, soaking up enemy fire and drawing attention away from your more valuable units. You may have noticed that blood is a common theme this week, and that goes double for Wednesday’s Warhammer+ releases. Battle Report tears open the Warcry: Bloodhunt boxed set for an epic clash using the new warbands and Fortification rules, while Citadel Colour Masterclass presents an in-depth tutorial for painting all of the blood effects you’ll need for the incoming World Eaters. On Warhammer+ this week, Strike Force Agastus is put through its paces in Battle Report against the Orks menacing the planet of Kolomar. It will be the first time you’ll be able to see the new Brutalis Dreadnought and Desolation Marines in combat, so you won’t want to miss it.

The Lieutenant is one of the most versatile character kits to date, with a choice of cosmetic parts and plenty of wargear. He can tote a plasma pistol, heavy bolt pistol, or a bolt rifle with one of three configurations, all while swinging a power fist or a power sword… or just pointing very emphatically. Boarding Patrol: Chaos Space Marines This multipart version of the Sternguard Veteran Squad from the Leviathan box was revealed on August 31, 2023. These last two Boarding Patrol boxes for the first Boarding Actions season Arks of Omen was revealed on May 3, 2023. Chaos Daemons have – appropriately, given the arrival of Angron – manifested as a huffing and slavering crash of Khornate nightmares. 10 Bloodletters and 10 Flesh Hounds are led by Khorne’s favourite hunter – Karanak, the Hound of Vengeance. In the cramped confines of a space hulk, these frenzied killers will close the distance between enemy guns with warp-flushed speed and savagery. This box can be used to assemble a variety of units – the recommended build for Boarding Action games is Abaddon the Despoiler, five Legionaries, and two Cultist Mobs of ten models each. The (tweaked) Agents of the Imperium ability allows Navy Breachers to join up with any IMPERIUM Boarding Patrol – appropriate, as it’s their job – and means they won’t even disrupt the Chapter playbook. These are the first new box sets for Arks of Omen, and we’re excited to look at the kind of value they have inside. The Adeptus Mechanicus box is a surprisingly high value despite the fact that it’s filled with nothing interesting. This separate release of (half an) Inquisitorial kill team from the Ashes of Faith expansion was revealed on August 13, 2023.

Boarding Actions are an excellent way to build small, thematic armies that can’t fill the full-sized battlefields of Warhammer 40,000, such as these Aeldari Corsairs . Prince Yriel of Iyanden leads his Eldritch Raiders into the bowels of a great Ark, filling all three Corsair squads with mid-range troops that can load an ungodly number of power swords into a cool 499 points. So this one is a little weird. We’re over the 500 point limit so I’m not 100% sure why GW put this box together this way. That said, it’s a fairly easy fix. We need to slim down to 500 points and removing 130 isn’t that hard. Obviously we need to keep Abaddon in there because…it’s Abaddon. Just cut the other two squads by half and you’re set. And on Friday, the Hang Out and Paint team will be live on the Warhammer Twitch channel showing us how to paint Strike Force Agastus. Status: Released July 29, 2023 Outland Beastmaster with Millisaurs Outland Beastmaster with MillisaursThe Warhammer Community team has come up with a few of our own sample lists to see what’s possible. This launch box for 40k 10th edition was revealed on April 29, 2023. It’s a limited release that contains a special launch rulebook and 2 full armies: one for Space Marines and one for Tyranids. This new character for House Goliath (one of many released since their book was published) was revealed on December 27, 2022. These are sort of like small Combat Patrol boxes made specifically to be fielded for the new Boarding Actions. So, expect them all to have a lot of foot sloggers.
