For dark and extractive-rich hardwoods (e.g. Wenge, Mahogany, Merbau etc.), we recommend applying Osmo Wood Wax Finish Clear Extra Thin. Trial application is recommended. It sounds like that finish is the actual stain and finish. It probably needs to be sanded first but I’m not 100% sure. You were wanting it darker using dark wax?
