About this deal

For dark and extractive-rich hardwoods (e.g. Wenge, Mahogany, Merbau etc.), we recommend applying Osmo Wood Wax Finish Clear Extra Thin. Trial application is recommended. It sounds like that finish is the actual stain and finish. It probably needs to be sanded first but I’m not 100% sure. You were wanting it darker using dark wax? The wood species below are not recommended for Polyx-Oil Original. Please use Osmo Wood Wax Finish Extra Thin instead. Sanding Sealer (007749006) applied by brush or rubber and allow to dry (approximately 30 minutes at 20°C). When dry, apply the wax polish using 0000 grade wire wool to achieve the smoothest finish and allow to dry for a few minutes. When dry, buff with a clean, dry lint-free cloth. Unsealed wood may be waxed without sealing, but this method will give a much lower shine.

No I don’t wait for the dark wax to dry, I use the clear wax right on top of the dark wax so it can move together. Why sealing it first?
