This book is funny, it’s a little angsty at times, a little spicy too, but oh will it have you swooning for your own sea captain. This is a book you can read over and over and enjoy it each and every time. My only complaint is (SPOILERS) I wish there was just once scene where Piper’s Mother and Step-father had the chance to see how far she came from the beginning of the story to the end. Rose's mother drinks wine with a friend. The older teens hold a party where they smoke and drink beer. Piper was a great FMC, and I don’t say that lightly- what you saw on the surface was not what or who she really was. She was kind, caring, and compassionate. She cared for Brendan sooo deeply and it was honestly just romantic.

I absolutely adored this book, Piper and Brendan had such a healthy dynamic in their relationship which I absolutely admired. Brendan is definitely one of my favourite book boyfriends! This book got tabbed and annotated A LOT! All of the characters were so loveable, and I’m extremely excited to read Hook, Line & Sinker next!Though official casting choices haven't been made, Bailey previously revealed her dream cast for the movie. However, he is a kind-hearted man who is willing to support Piper in delving deeper into other sides of life that she has never opened up to before.
