Description

I use an electric pump, the Kampa yellow one, to blow up our air ace 400, takes less than 2 minutes. Anyone waiting for the new Kampa Gale air pump, they are finally in the shops. Apparently the delay was due to being held up by the customs. I've just had the call from my dealer to go and collect mine. A 12V electric pump designed specifically for use with Kampa AIR awnings and tents. Simply plug into a 12V power source using the extra long cable, set the required PSI and let the pump take care of the rest.

We had used pump before but this had taken an age to blow our Kampa Air Tent. I used this on my own for the first time and within moments the beams were starting to stand and in under 8mins this tent was up and solid. best pump ever I used this along with a Sevylor Pump, connected straight to the caravan battery, very heavy duty adaptor and away it went. The pump will inflate up to a max of 12.5psi and comes with a 1.5m inflation hose as well as a long 12v supply cord with cigarette lighter plug and is approx 15 feet long (5m). Ours isn't unreliable just slow. We keep it because we are told it will go to a higher pressure if it's windy so the poles will be more stable . . .Just wondering if any "more mature" caravanners here use an electric pump or manage with a manual pump.

I have a gale pump, works as it should . Word of warning . . it’s not desinged to work with the original air awning as it doesn’t screw to the valve properly. Simply plug the Dometic Gale into a 12v cigar lighter or similar power source using the extra long cable, set the PSI required and let the pump do it's job. Simply plug the Dometic gale into a 12v cigar lighter or similar power source using the extra long cable, set the PSI required and let the pump do it's job.First class service from camperlite. An excellent pump although a little noisy. It does exactly what it says it does and rather well. Obviously, only of use if you can get at the caravan battery easily, which I could. A true 5 minute job! Maybe I will start with a manual pump and see how I get on.(Or even get the other half to do it..lol) Interests: Camping / caravanning & Trailer tenting. Mountain biking, trikes, jetski, vintage Tamiya RC buggies

Bought a gale pump earlier this year, only used it a couple of times and all is ok, tend to stand it on one of our awning tiles as that does quieten it down a bit, also as Vango thought it was a great idea to put the valves on the inside of the awning that also helps to eliminate some of the noise!!! Just tried the pump in the car (not inflating the awning) and the sound wasn't bad . . no shreeking, just sound like a normal car tyre pump I have the greatest of difficulties trying to connect to the inflation point with the hose already connected to the 'Gale'. Thanks. Which attachment fitted the Ventura? Tried them all on ours, but maybe doing it wrong? We have previous on doing stuff wrong. The Dometic gale 12v electric pump is designed specifically for use with Kampa AIR awnings and tents and is a perfect match as it includes a screw on adaptor designed exclusively for Kampa tents and awnings, replacing the manual pump that comes as standard with all kampa models.
