About this deal

As we are going to move them up towards the celing we use the Y axis and that goes from 0 (zero) on the floor up to the height of our celing. To move them we use the Y input box and/or the arrows next to it which are located on the Location tab of the Settings… panel.

Ambient Lighting and/or Light Beam only affect what is seen in the visualiser and not the actual light beams on the real fixtures. Now I'll say it works -- it's nice and bright, not dim at all. But it makes A LOT of ozone. Like way more than you'd think. I used it for 30 mins in a small bedroom and it smelled like ozone for two days even with full ventilation. Wow! Magic 3D Easy View is a computerized lightning controller that helps you plan a stage. It comes with Sunlite USB/DMX-IN interface. You should just connect your lightning control console to this application via DMX or Ethernet protocols (ArtNet, Sand-Net, ACDI, MEVP). So you can use your favorite lightning control console without any lighting engineering and feel yourself as on the stage. This simple and handy program makes light-controlling very easy. It provides you with full control of light beams movement, shutter and dimmer, colors, gobos, and so on. As you can see the object has been rotated around the X and Y axis by 90 degrees in each axis and it is now in the right orientation. Sorry Thomas I have not been using easy view that much but I think the Nicolaudie folks have there own forum. We now need to move this into position, I have not found away you can drag objects within the 3D view so we have to change it's postion using the Settings… panel. First select our object in the Listing… panel, this will feed the current co-ords of the object into the Settings… panel, does not do it upon loading an object even though it looks selected. Minor bug I think.

I am creating a Cube with the size as follows. 8.00, 1.00 and 6.00 as can be seen in the following image. Now I am in Units of metres so if you are using feet then you will have to make adjustments to the size of the object yourself. As you can see by the above image we now have this “Red” rectangle in the top half of the display and in the Listing.. panel we can see the object we have just loaded. The “Red” rectangle is the object we have just loaded and it is red because it is the currently selected object. For this we need to go into Construction Mode, currently we are in User Mode. To change into Construction Mode select the Constrcution mode button, it looks like a Hard Hat from the Standard Toolbar or select it from the Stage menu. The display will change into what looks like 3 panels, see image below. The above image shows the Mouse toolbar with “Camera rotation” selected. In this mode the left mouse button is used to rotate you view and the right mouse button is used to move you view. Seems to be the same as “Default”. ????? You will get an Object library dialogue box, select the object you created earlier, in my case it is the stage_8x1x6.x file and then press the Select button. Open the Positions wizard tab on the Settings… panel as shown above. Select Line and in the input box type 6 and press Enter. but if it looks like the above image, then either you have put the Size in wrong or you need to press the Rotation button or you have the wrong object selected. Whatever the problem is ensure you have the settings as I have done above. Once done press the Save button.
