About this deal

growing noob going into serious mode. Panoptic 41mm on c11 vs cheap 40mm e-lux. Am I inexperienced? Not seeing the difference on first night. I have written a review of an almost identical telescope from SkyWatcher-the SkyWatcher Explorer 130P SynScan AZ GoTo. I was considering buying both these telescopes, so I know them well. The Sky-Watcher Virtuoso GTi 130P features the same optics as the 130SLT but in a collapsible tube with a dual manual/GoTo tabletop Dobsonian mount which is controlled with an app on your smartphone or tablet. The Virtuoso GTi 130P is available in a manual format, the Heritage 130P, as with the 150P from Sky-Watcher. You may also like: Why Can’t I See Anything Through My Telescope? Included eyepieces and red dot finder The 114 SLT uses a "barlow" lens which is mounted at the base of the focusser. This gives it a longer effective focal length (1000 mm)than the short tube would suggest. One result is that the angular field that could be viewed will be smaller than with the 130SLT using 1.25mm eyepieces. I suspect that it will not be able to take 2" eyepieces either as the 130 SLT can. I have viewed through a similar optical tube and it was better than I expected. I would tend to favour the 130 SLT as it will be somewhat more versatile, but if the offer is very good then I believe you will be happy with it.

A: The Celestron NexStar 130 SLT features a 130mm primary mirror, a fully computerized altazimuth mount, a red dot finderscope, and a 25mm eyepiece. It also comes with a database of over 4,000 celestial objects. Q: Is the Celestron NexStar 130 SLT suitable for beginners? Used Cameras Used DSLR Cameras Used Mirrorless Cameras Used Compact Cameras Used Film Cameras Used Action Cameras and Video Used Lenses For DSLR Cameras Used Lenses for Canon EOS Used Lenses for Nikon AF Other Used Lenses One of the biggest benefits of these Celestron telescopes is the SkyAlign technology that comes built into them. Among the various specific differences between the two telescopes, it seems the 130 SLT is the best option for deep-space objects. I am doing the same thing with my 130 SLT but can't seem to get the adapter onto the camera! I have a Canon Powershot SX30 IS but the Canon adopter doesn't seem to fit..I am wondering if this adapter isn't meant for this body? What kind of camera do you have,I feel like I might need to upgrade..

As I’ve previously mentioned, the telescope suits deep sky objects viewing more than planetary observations. So, you’ll see crispier images when viewing faint objects, like fainter Messier objects than Saturn, for example. Secondly, on reading the SLT manual, it infers that you can, (with power off), move the OTA as it describes it. I'm not however sure that this means just in Altitude like my N8i, or in both Altitude and Azimuth. wow that stinks its weird the manual says you can rotate az. with no power i can't turn mine at all i have to loosen the base from the tripod but i have had mine a year and a half and haven't seen anything like what you've gone through

This computerized hand control enables you to automatically slew to any of 40,000 celestial objects with the push of a button. The NexStar+ database includes more than 600 galaxies, 300 clusters and dozens of beautiful binary stars. Not sure what to observe? Choose the Sky Tour feature and the NexStar+ hand control will automatically generate a list of all the best celestial objects currently visible based on your exact time and location. SkyAlign TechnologyI have spent some time today hopefully getting rid of all the typos and html sillies in the review. I have also acquired (scrap from work) a section of metal tube of just the right diameter to attempt to make an extension tube to allow the scope to get to higher elevations! DSLR Cameras Canon EOS DSLR Cameras Nikon DSLR Cameras Digital Compact Cameras Instant and Single Use Cameras Instant Cameras Instant Camera Film Single Use Cameras Instant Printers A: The Celestron NexStar 130 SLT uses a process called SkyAlign for alignment. Simply choose three bright objects in the sky, center them in the eyepiece, and the telescope will calculate its position and alignment. Q: Can I use other eyepieces with the Celestron NexStar 130 SLT? Reduced reflection means more light passes through the telescope. There’s no use having a 130mm aperture if you lose a bulk of the light-gathering ability to reflections in the optical elements. This isn’t to say that the 127 SLT isn’t sufficient in many cases; it just comes down to what you’re looking for in the night sky.
