Book Review – Nature Devotional: Eco-Spiritual Reflections, Meditations and Affirmations by Rebecca Reitz Week 1: Inspiration. Mercury in Pisces. This card reveals female L already knows many of the answers which appear this month. She may be refusing to face up to it. This is a card of excuses. The guide book that accompanies Oracle of the Radiant Sun is fantastic. As I have already mentioned, it really helped me to connect with the cards. Plus, it contains a wealth of information. I like that they point out that:All of the majors feature quotes from the Gnostic text known as ‘The Thunder, Perfect Mind’. On Choice there is ‘Whatever I will happens to me’. These fit so well with the 22 cards. There is also a key word at the bottom of the card for each major, here: ‘Passion’. From your mouth to goddess’s ear! I’ve always been the breadwinner and keeper of the finances. I work for my money and I’m careful with it, but not miserly. If I could get as far as riches, I would be very happy indeed! This matches well with the first card. When “all this” is over, I will seriously consider some educational travel and maybe classes. Spend some money on learning. The book is kind of confusing as a basic introduction to astrology, especially the spreads. They’re based on houses, and months, and ??? I think I’ll pass on them but try some of my own houses spread ideas. And I may pull into service my handy Keywords for Astrology book if I need more info than the card keywords.

Studying the four weekly cards there is a strong indication a situation will materialize which will test female L. Since the Loss card does suggest the “loss” of someone or some situation which is very close to female L the weekly cards confirm this especially in week 2 of January. The Theme card needs to be factored in when reading these cards as well. There is a strong indication that someone’s health will be of concern. I hope this doesn’t mean what “health issues” usually means! I’m sure it just means I’ll be thinking about my health today and maybe doing something about it. Moon in Pisces: Empathy. But I’ll give it a try. The bird’s cage is open but it doesn’t know it or is afraid to go out. It feels safer in a cage than having to fend for itself in the wild. Sometimes even if you know you’re trapped, you don’t fight it. The cards themselves are small. They only measure 6.5 x 10 cm which to my mind is slightly smaller than playing card size. That being said, with 84 cards to shuffle, if they were any bigger they have become hard to handle. At this size I find them easy to manage.
