About this deal

From the classics like the Old Fashioned and Martini to the trendy drinks like the Aperol Spritz and Moscow Mule, there's always something new to try. Dried pears are a nice garnish, but so is the fresh fruit. When slicing a fresh pear, dip each slice briefly in a little lemon juice so the flesh doesn't turn yellow when it's exposed to oxygen. Pop on the lid and set this jar on a windowsill for 1 week. It looks quite pretty really, so is no great hardship to have it around. This drink, created by bartender Jonny Cimone, is a delicious combination of spiced rum, pear puree, homemade ginger nectar, lime juice, and bitters. Pears are the underdogs of the early fall fruit world, but it’s time to give them the attention they deserve!

Muddle the pear aggressively. You can have a heavy hand: you’ll want the pear fully mushed. It may be juicy or more like a paste or sauce: that’s ok!Wrap some clingfilm over top of jar and then add the lid. This will give you a better seal to stop air getting into the jar.

Pear liqueur makes a wonderful gift, especially at Christmas. So when pears are abundant either in the garden or supermarket get making pear liqueur! Sugar– go for plain caster sugar in your pear liqueur. If you use brown sugar you would get a more caramel like flavour which might overpower the pear.

With all of these memories running through my head, some of the most prominent were the days where our moms would have direct-selling home parties. I don’t know if these are still common, but does anyone else remember going to those parties? Where ladies would sell Mary Kay and Tupperware while moms talked to their Bunco friends and ate finger foods? Hannah’s mom sold Tastefully Simple, and I remember going to several of these events. This delicious drink combines bourbon with bosc pear and a hint of honey, spice, and lemon. It’s a heavenly citrus treat.

I had already updated the printable recipe card at the bottom of the post. Just forgotten to amend the wording in the post. Done it now. Pear– Yes just one pear for this pear liqueur recipe. I have used a large pear of the William variety, though any type of pear will do really. They all have their own flavour. Make sure that your pear is ripe and juicy and unblemished. So thrilled that you like the pear liqueur so much. I love it. Anyway the straining is because although you can hardly see litte bits in it there can be tiny fibres and over time these fall to the bottom and make the liqueur cloudy. It is entirely up to you whether you strain it or not. It is hardly much effort really. Hi it is me again. I am so excited to try my Pear liqueur this weekend. I made a few quarts of it as I want to give some away too. My question is what do you usually do with all the lovely pears that have been sitting in the jars. Seems like such a waste to throw them out. If I eat them all that would get sloppy lol. Any ideas would be appreciated. I tweak and change my recipes over the years as I find improvements as I make them. Use the old timings if you prefer, I find the new ones just as good. You leave the pear, you do not process it or anything. Just follow the recipe. If you use a processor you will get cloudy liqueur.

Made with pears, cranberries, and St. Germain liqueur, these drinks are sure to be a hit with all your friends. So it’s good to know it’s indeed 1 week in the sun and 1 week in the cupboard. Perhaps it’s worth correcting the typo in the text? While many martinis are primarily made of alcohol and can be quite strong, this is not the case with the peartini. That's because flavored vodkas are generally just 35 percent ABV (70 proof), amaretto is usually around 21 percent ABV, and the rest of the drink is made up of nonalcoholic mixers. But what makes this beverage so special? For starters, it’s made with pear gin infused with Citadelle. Every few days, gently shake the container to mix the ingredients and encourage the infusion process.

Simply mix together some pear vodka, pear simple syrup, and prosecco in a wine glass to celebrate in style. Cheers! I use jars with the rubber ring around stopper so I can shake the jar and not get wet! Corks have a tendancy to come out. Muddle the mint and basil with the pear juice, then strain into two glasses and top with ice and sparkling water. Thank you for the recipe – sounds really great! (I’m just approaching the end of week 1 at the moment). I was also a bit confused like Ekaterini above – the actual text still says: It’s a refreshing citrus treat infused with vodka, pear, and lavender. It’s the perfect way to beat the heat on a warm evening.I noticed someone further up the list of comments asked if Conference pears would be ok to use for this lovely stuff… but there was no answer posted. So I would like to ask this question myself, as this is what I have to use.. I’m very keen to try this this year as my pear tree is laden!! Absolut Pears is a fantastic pear-flavored vodka that has come up with its own pear martini recipe. The Absolut Pears Martini by Absolut Drinks contains the Absolut Pears vodka, simple syrup, lemon juice, and pear puree. It is easy to make as all you have to do is shake it up, strain, and enjoy! FAQs This blue drink is made with pear-infused vodka, gin, dry vermouth, and blue Curaçao. It’s a really tasty twist on the classic martini.
