Now instead of drinking 10 cups of regular green tea every day, I have about 4-5 cups of matcha. I feel energized for hours on end and I also feel a mental calmness that persists for a while after every cup. I am a repeat customer as purechimp in my opinion has the best quality matcha available for a good price (I've tried many brands-!). Matcha naturally contains caffeine, so the vast majority of matcha powders are caffeinated. Some brands sell decaf matcha, but it's uncommon. A serving of matcha contains 40 to 70 milligrams of caffeine on average.

The region that a matcha powder comes from is a baseline way to discern its quality, especially for new buyers. The best-case scenario is a single-varietal tea (meaning it comes from only one area) sourced in a primary matcha region of Japan: Uji, Kagoshima, Shizuoka, and more. Many products, particularly inexpensive ones, will be sourced outside of Japan—a sign of lower-quality matcha. I’ve used this company for many years, I used to buy their natural beauty product range which was fabulous and I miss a lot since they discontinued it. Anyway, their matcha tea products are brilliant. Great, ethical, eco company! Ceremonial grade matcha is the highest quality matcha available, hence why this is what's used in traditional Japanese tea ceremonies. It is also the most expensive type of matcha powder, made from only the youngest and highest leaves of the plant. Excellent Product for it's Value, it's not ceremonial but it doesn't taste crappy like other products who claim they ceremonial grade. It has a nice neutral taste, especially if you use any milk or nondairy milk in the mixDue to a brief harvest season, select growing regions, and the effort it takes to cultivate and grind green tea leaves, matcha powder is pricey, especially compared to coffee and tea. The price point has a high floor, and if you come across a brand selling ceremonial matcha far below other competitors it should raise some eyebrows regarding the quality. However, Chamberlain Coffee manages to sell its ceremonial matcha powder in the lowest average price tier without sacrificing quality. It doesn't have the rich umami flavor of high-end matcha powders, but it has a balance of sweetness and earthiness, and it blends well. The color of PureChimp matcha green tea powder is a nice vibrant green that looked surprisingly premium when compared to other high-quality matcha powders. When it comes down to premium ceremonial grade matchas, color and grind matter and can be a good indicator of the overall quality. PureChimp's grind is very fine and mixes well in water using a matcha whisk. After about a month of basking in filtered sunlight, the tea leaves are harvested, then steamed to prevent oxidation (which would otherwise turn the leaves dark and bitter). Next, they're dried with a special machine that keeps the leaves flat. The soon-to-be matcha is put through yet another machine that removes any wayward stems or veins, then is ground into an incredibly fine and antioxidant-rich powder.

I also created this blog as a resource for people who are interested in starting a vegan diet and to stay healthy while on it.

Purechimp matcha stands out due to its vibrant green color, smooth texture, and distinctive taste. Its high-quality, shade-grown tea leaves result in a rich, umami flavor profile that sets it apart from lower-grade matcha products. Additionally, the company's commitment to ethical sourcing and sustainable practices further elevates its appeal among conscious consumers. I get the feeling whoever is in customer service shouldn't be there. Yes a mistake was made but blaming the customer for it in a rather curt fashion and then only responding to direct requests, trying to push the work onto them at any given chance, I hope they get a professional in to do this job instead. The attitude wasn't great and performance only a notch above mediocre. One of the main things we took into consideration was the quality of the matcha, also commonly referred to as its "grade." There are two broad grades of matcha: culinary and ceremonial. According to Artful Tea, the main difference between these two is simply how you'll use the matcha. Culinary is meant to be added to things like drinks and baked goods and tends to be less expensive. Ceremonial grade — which already sounds so regal, doesn't it? — is meant to be whisked with hot water and consumed as-is. Regardless of the cost of living rising, they still kept good affordable prices for such a great product. There is no shortage of matcha latte mixes, but Encha considers itself the only company "offering a latte grade using first harvest pure and organic matcha powder." Essentially, other latte mixes tend to contain later-season matcha made from tougher, more bitter leaves, leading to an earthier taste, but this mix is filled with the good stuff.

I followed the instructions on the jar that said to put in about half a teaspoon of matcha into a little cold water and stir to mix it in. Once that’s done, you can pour in the water from the kettle to fill the cup and continue to mix it. Not sure how to get started with matcha powder? First, use a tea strainer to sift the powder into a bowl to avoid clumps. This will aid in easier dissolution into your tea.

Yes, Purechimp matcha is both organic and ethically sourced from a Japanese supplier. The company prides itself on using only the finest shade-grown tea leaves from sustainable tea plantations. This ensures that the matcha is free from harmful chemicals and pesticides and produced with utmost respect for the environment. That being said, some consumers warned that when using it as purely a ceremonial beverage (that is, when it's whisked with hot water), the flavor was dull and chalky. It may be better for smoothies, as they noted. I'm a bit of a matcha addict, so although I use it often I do find it lasts very well and is absolutely good value for money.

Matcha is a fine, rich powder, that is full of antioxidants. The deep green color is from its high chlorophyll content. A little bit about PureChimp Matcha Green Tea Product And The Brand Ethics Matcha is a type of green tea that's easy to identify because it comes in powder form. Unlike most teas where the leaves are steeped in water and removed before drinking, with matcha you actually ingest a ground form of the leaf itself. It often has a rich umami flavor, but other tasting notes can include sweetness, bitterness, grassiness, earthiness, nuttiness, and more. Matcha is highly versatile and can be used for drinking purposes as well as a cooking ingredient. Accordingly, matcha is sorted into one of two categories: ceremonial grade and culinary grade. The former is best for tea and lattes, while the latter is better for recipes and baked goods.Enjoying experimenting with the Matcha Tea, so far hot and cold drinks and have discovered that I need to add sweetener, as suggested. Vanilla Syrup seems to hit the mark for me. Already had my first cup of matcha and thoroughly enjoyed it. Tastes amazing, definitely would recommend and can't wait to try the other flavours as well!! Our favorite mushroom-boosted matcha is Renude's Chaga Matcha, which combines ceremonial grade matcha sourced from Japan with chaga mushrooms. Cacao, Ceylon cinnamon, and monk fruit sweetener are also added to create a delicious flavor. We tried the matcha ourselves and were impressed by how much sweeter it is than typical matcha, yet it doesn't contain any sugar. This makes it especially suitable for iced matcha too. Whilst matcha originated from China centuries ago, the processing there has significantly gone downhill, with most matcha from China these days actually being green tea.
