Narrated by Imaam Ahmad, 1 – 201; al-Tirmidhi, 2318; classed as hasan by al-Nawawi in Riyaadh al-Saaliheen, 73; classed as saheeh by Ahmad Shaakir in al-Musnad, 1737) Relying upon classical sources of seerah such as Ibn Is'haq's Sirat RasulAllah, Ibn Sa'd's Tabaqaat, atTabari's Tareekh, & Ibn Kathir's AsSeerah anNabawiyyah, the authors have woven together the many historical narrations about RasulAllah's biography in an easy to understand manner that vividly brings every chapter to life. I really enjoyed the glimpses we got of certain events from the perspectives of specific Companions - it made the seerah that much more exciting and accessible. One of the easy reading , captivating and engrossing seerah books I have ever read. I mean would have loved it as a teenager, the audience it is actually aimed at. Nevertheless find it beautiful even as an adult! It's the book that you should definitely include in your seerah collection. I remember once thinking it would be great if the Seerah series was in book form (as i prefer books) so when I found out it got published i was so excited and it truly didnt disappoint.

The following is a list of some of the early Hadith collectors who specialized in collecting and compiling sīra and maghāzī reports:

Reading each chapter was a treat. I was always excited to read the next chapter, I cannot wait for the new book. The phrase sīrat rasūl allāh, or as-sīra al-nabawiyya, refers to the study of the life of Muhammad. The term sīra was first linked to the biography of Muhammad by Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri (d. 124/741-2), and later popularized by the work of Ibn Hisham (d. 833). In the first two centuries of Islamic history, sīra was more commonly known as maghāzī (literally, stories of military expeditions), which is now considered to be only a subset of sīra [2]—one that concerns the military campaigns of Muhammad. [3] Seerah of Prophet Muhammad by Yasir Qadhi – This is perhaps the most thorough and detailed lecture series on the life of the Messenger (pbuh) done in the English language.

Originally published in 1969 and 1973. About everyone , even the animals , plants . Everyone around him felt his presence. If you want to fall in love with a man who’s mercy was open to all . This is the book for you. I guarantee you, your imaan will thank you. I guarantee you, your heart will shift , you will feel his love through reading this book. You will yarn for the meeting with your beloved prophet Muhammad ( s.a.w) M. R. Ahmad (1992). Al-sīra al-nabawiyya fī ḍawʾ al-maṣādir al-aṣliyya: dirāsa taḥlīliyya (1sted.). Riyadh: King Saud University.by the Seerah Foundation in 1988. The book gives all the basic information about the faith of Islam, and how it brings about While there are many resources available for English-speakers to learn about the Prophet ﷺ, much of the literature can be dense with information and facts. This can be disengaging for a younger or non-academic crowd who are often only engaged when information is conveyed in a more compelling, straightforward manner. al-Shifa by Qadhi Iyadh – This is an English translation of the famous classical book Al-shifa bi ta’rif huquq al-Mustafa (Healing by the recognition of the Rights of the Chosen one). The whole point of his book is to build a strong sense of awe and love of the Messenger (pbuh) in the person’s heart and to make you realize why he is so important. He attempts to emotionally connect the reader to the beloved of Allah (pbuh). It heavily focuses on the Prophet’s character, qualities, virtues, and miracles. It’s beautifully written. If you read it properly, you would not pass a day except by sending darood on the Messenger (pbuh). Now, there are some really weak stuff in the book as well and you can refer to a critical annotated commentary of it by Ali Kawshk. However, it is only available in Arabic. The number of these weak reports in the book are not a lot and does NOT take away from the overall value of this masterpiece at all. The translation is done by none other than Aisha Bewley, who is one of today’s most prolific translators of classical Arabic works into English. For more than thirty-five years she has been concerned with making the contents of many classical Arabic works more accessible to English-speaking readers. I trust her translations.
