Stroma originates from the Norse meaning ‘island in the stream’ which also refers to the dangerous currents on the island’s shores, including the infamous ‘Swilkie’ whirlpool. Stroma’s lighthouse warns ships of these nearby powerful currents. Did you know that an apple slicer can do so much more than slice apples? It's very handy for cutting other fruits like pears, too.
