I’m so pleased I read this book, as although it’s no denying a romance, the powerful emotional themes running through it, makes this story so much more. I’ve never read a book which focuses on one of the issues covered and I was without doubt, caught out by the revelation of it. It broke my heart to read in places and I really can’t imagine how Hannah and her parents felt during the years gone by. The premise was great. The characters were AMAZING, very well drawn and real, and the book overall was well written. I didn't mind the slow-burn, or the secondary characters that got almost as much time as the mains, or even that there were kids in it. I just kept waiting for something to happen to make me feel, and nothing really resonated. I loved Hannah and Sonny’s story, I found myself rooting for them from the very first chapter, but like normal life is never that straight forward.

Paige Toon is a relatively new author to me, and my best friend and I took it upon ourselves to read ‘The Minute I Saw You’ as a read along. Hannah and Sonny are great main characters with a lot of depth and warmth. I also really liked the other characters in this book and it was fab to read about some familiar faces again.
