About this deal

Thanks to the spacious, dual-chamber interior, the Lian Li O11D EVO PC Case can accommodate for all your gaming hardware in a number of configurations. Able to support up to an E-ATX motherboard, this chassis has 8 expansion slots. With the tempered glass side panel, you can create a truly show-stopping gaming PC. Moving to the left is where things are quite interesting. By default, there is a standard ATX PSU opening at the bottom, while there are two covers above this which have dual HDD hot-swap caddies below the cover. These can fit up to four 3.5" or 2.5" drives or a combination of this. However, if you need a genuinely extreme system like the aforementioned Dominus Extreme pushed to the limit. You can have up to three' PSU's in place as the HDD hot-swap bays use standard PSU style mounting so that they can be removed and replaced with power supplies should the need for far more power be needed. The Lian Li O11Dynamic XL Full-Tower offers a tonne of space for powerful gaming hardware. Even the huge ROG Dominus Extreme EEB motherboard from Asus can be installed with the help of an additional accessory from Lian Li. Graphics cards can be up to 446 mm in length, with CPU coolers up to a height of 167 mm also fitting. An ATX form factor power supply can be installed in an upright orientation in the left side of the rear, power supplies up to 210 mm in length will fit. The O11D EVO provides far too many mounting options to list in a simple features table. For example, Lian Li states that the bottom of the case can hold four 2.5-inch or two 3.5-inch drives; the side can hold four 2.5-inch or two 3.5-inch drives; the drive cage can hold three 2.5-inch or two 3.5-inch plus one 2.5-inch drive; and the cable-management bar can host two 2.5-inch drives—and that's before we start subtracting for the potential installation of a second power supply or side/bottom radiators. The actual limit stated by Lian Li is dictated by the number of screws and grommets included in the installation kit.

The main chamber can house the motherboard along with the GPU and your cooling components. The case is targeted towards water cooling and it would be a delight for the water cooler lovers with ample rooms to play around. In terms of voltage-regulator temperature, the O11D EVO again barely trails the fan-equipped gaming cases... The quiet Seta Q1 is at a disadvantage here, since we chose to front-mount our cooler to keep that case's top-panel noise baffle in place (in keeping with the purpose of that case). The glass side of the O11D EVO is slightly quieter than the Cooler Master's, while the vented side is slightly noisier. Both fall within earshot of the quiet-design Seta Q1, while the Corsair gets penalized for having more powerful fans than either the HAF 500 or Seta Q1. Still, we'd suggest you ideally add fans to the bottom mount, the side mount, or both. The Lian Li is, after all, designed to hold up to three large radiators. And because of the extreme glass visibility, it practically begs for LED fans galore, whether mounted straight on the case or on radiators.

Customer reviews

Sound testing conducted with microphone placed 30 cm from system. Measured ambient noise floor is 28.5 db. All fans set to same speeds as with temperature testing.

However, the only downside is the rear exhaust as there is no room to place a fan that can pull the air out from inside of the case. However, if you plan the placing of the fans properly, then this won’t be a big issue at all. The best combination, if one is going for an air cooling option is to use three fans for intake on the side and 3 on the bottom as intake. The top should be utilized as an exhaust so that the hot air can be removed from inside the case. Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL If I'm wrong ... why the people who design, market, support and try to sell these products advise their customers to install fane]s this way ? Is it really feasible that they don't want to show their products in the best possible light ?

Lian-Li also included the addition of a fan at the rear which one can utilize for exhaust purposes, unlike the non-XL variant that didn’t have the option. Furthermore, the O11 dynamic has a limitation of 120mm fans everywhere except for that of the top, which could optionally fit two 140mm fans, however, the O11 Dynamic XL adds support for a further two optional 140mm fans on the bottom tray. Utilising the innovative, dual-chamber design, cable management is incredibly easy within the Lian Li O11D EVO. There is even a cable management bar as part of the second chamber, allowing you to neatly bundle cables together and feed them through the rubber grommets on the separating panel. This chamber features everything you need to keep cables under control, including a hook and ties. Not only does this design keep your PC interior looking sleek, but keeping the PSU separate helps to keep temperatures down. The right part of the front includes an I/O panel with a USB 3.1 Type-C port, two USB 3.0 ports and both obligatory audio ports. Two additional USB 3.0 ports are located on the lower right part of the front section. In between the I/O panel and the tempered glass panel lies an attractive RGB-LED strip that stretches from top to bottom - the lighting of which can be controlled by means of two switches on the front panel. The RGB-LED strip can also be connected to a traditional 5VDG port on compatible motherboards. Abundant Space for Gaming Hardware Over the last few years Lian Li’s O11 line of enclosures has taken the PC Case market by storm. You can’t do a web search for “custom PC build” or watch an online video of people showing off their PCs, without seeing a multitude of PC-O11s, or another model based on the design. The O11 Dynamic is truly a unique case of its own, having ventilation at the side. There are many who might wonder, having the ventilation located at the side, might not be a good option to have sufficient airflow, but, firstly the case is aimed at water cooling. However, in terms of air-cooling, this case also excels in that respect.

Unfortunately, I’m a bit stubborn. Like so many people in the world, I often let my desire for uniqueness get the better of me. I had this “everyone is building in that case” mentality, so I’ve gone out of my way to avoid it. Let it never be said that stubbornness and stupidity did not have a link, because if the O11 Dynamic Mini is typical of the other der8auer badged cases, I’ve really been missing out (or possibly stupid). The O11 Dynamic XL is launched in 2019 and it is a larger version of the original case, still bearing the Der8auer badge for his initial work on the O11 Dynamic. However, O11’s unique design utilizes the width as well as length making the XL variant only 18.5 inches longer than that of the non-XL variant. Exterior
