That latter point is crucial in managing battery life. Out of the box, three power levels are supported: 5W for battery conservation, an 8W 'balanced' mode and a 12W gaming mode, meant for modern titles. There's also a user-configurable Pro mode, where you choose the power limit up to 15W on the standard Air and 18W on the Air Pro. The higher the power limit, the less battery life you'll have, but also the harder the cooling assembly needs to work. And the machine can get rather warm, if not hot to the touch at higher wattages. In my tests, 5W is a write-off for gaming, 8W is fine for very low-end titles or 2D games (Cuphead works beautifully, as an example) while 12W is the place to be for the best ratio between power and performance. That said, 15W often provides the extra juice required to turn sub-30fps gameplay into a more palatable experience. This, again, points out the utility of the Pro model with the larger battery, even if you opt for one without the enhanced Ryzen 7 processor - the fact is that the bigger battery makes accessing those higher power limits more comfortable in terms of battery life. We start the benchmarks in our AYA NEO NEXT review with PCMark which runs a series of tests for everyday tasks such as web browsing, right through to image and video processing. This test gives us a good look at how the AYA NEO NEXT PRO handheld performs in different situations.

AYA recently announced the AYA NEO 2021 Pro. An upgrade to the AYA NEO 2021 that features a more powerful processor, as well as an (optional) larger SSD, and an (optional) limited edition colour scheme. Lets first have a reminder of the benchmark results. The scores for the default 15W TDP are shown, as well as the tests for 20W to keep more in line with the GPD and ONEXPLAYER devices. There are some improvements using 20W TDP in games that take advantage of multicore CPUs, especially with Forza Horizon 4 seeing a very good increase in frames per second. We understand that this information may have been overlooked, and we apologize for any confusion caused. Our aim is to be transparent about the costs associated with customs clearance, and we strive to ensure that customers are aware that import fees will be their responsibility. The Marvel's Spider-Man cutscene-into-gameplay sequence taken from the beginning of the game isn't representative of the actual way the game plays but rather puts graphics hardware to the test in an entirely like-for-like scenario played out across all test units. Here, we find the same kind of scaling: Ryzen 5 outperforms Ryzen 7 at 8W (which, to be fair, is hardly useable for triple-A titles anyway), while once again, the Ryzen 7 offers greater performance boosts vs its cut-down equivalent at 12W rather than 15W.

So is the AYA NEO worth buying? While it is a good handheld in its price range, by spending a little more you could buy a more powerful Intel based handheld. Or if you wanted to sacrifice some battery power, you could simply increase the TDP to a higher amount to get more in that target performance. Underneath the protective foam is a USB charge cable and two USB Type-C to Type-A adapters. There is also a stand for the name plate. Power supply and worldwide plug adapters Beyond that, the AYA NEO is relatively plain in design. The shell has small bumps beneath the triggers to aid ergonomics, but there are no real stand-out features beyond that. Is there an AYA NEO Hardware Revision (AYA NEO 2021)?The AYA NEO will have around 2 to 5 hours of battery life, depending on the game it is being used to play (more intensive games will equal less battery life). You can also change the TDP of the AYA NEO to further adjust the battery life. What chargers does the AYA NEO support? The Aya Neo 2021 Pro is shaping up to be a big release in the gaming handheld market. It faces fierce competition from GPD Win 3 & Win MAX 2021, and the One Laptop ONEXPLAYER. There is definitely a sense that each company is trying to have the fastest handheld gaming PC on the market! We continue our AYA NEO 2021 Pro review with some benchmarks. For all of the benchmarks we are running at 20W TDP instead of the default 15W. This is so we are able to compare it to other devices such as the ONEXPLAYER 1S handheld gaming PC which has a default 20W TDP. PassMark

There is a high power USB charger with a US power plug built in. There are plug adapters included for the UK, Europe and Southeast Asia. So just about everyone is covered. Overview of the AYA NEO NEXT PROWe apologize for any inconvenience you experienced, but we would like to clarify the issue you mentioned. Despite two separate ports being capable of display output, it remains yet to be seen if the AYA NEO can support multiple displays. AYA NEO’s Design The Aya Neo has the AMD Ryzen 5 4500U processor with Radeon Graphics, which we reviewed in our recent ASUS PN50 benchmark blog post. It is a decent processor, and after some benchmarking we saw very respectable scores across the system and gaming tests.
