We only recommend you use Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep Replacement Filters in the Perfect Prep machine. The filter may look a lot like other water filters but inside is a unique filtration membrane designed to remove impurities and contaminants. Most standard water filters do not include an anti-bacterial filtration membrane so will NOT remove bacteria. It is therefore extremely important to ensure that you are buying and using the correct Tommee Tippee anti-bacterial filter. On average each Perfect Prep filter should last around 3 months, however this depends on the frequency of use and what size bottles you are preparing. The original Perfect Prep machine features a warning light which will indicate when the filter is due to be replaced and the Day & Night version will display a message on the screen. Press the start/stop button. A green light will flash, and water will be dispensed to finish the cycle. The contents should be discarded. The Perfect Prep is compatible with any brand of bottle and any type of formula milk. It provides a shot of water at 70 degrees centigrade to kill any bacteria that may be present in the formula. Then you simply add the required amount of powdered milk into the water and shake to dissolve. The Perfect Prep automatically tops the bottle up with the required amount of water. Pop a container under the dispenser outlet to capture the water used to clean the system (ideally at least 1 litre capacity). The empty warning light should be off. The hot light should be on.Listen out for the beep and the empty warning light should come on. level low warning light will illuminate once the water has flushed through the system.
