About this deal

The looks of the guitar are stunning, and I really liked the green version, which looks something between green, blue, and aqua with a transparent finish. But are Donner guitars like this? Or are they just cheap Chinese-made axes that don’t deserve any attention from us? Well, you’re about to discover the truth.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. Donner DST-400 is a great entry-level guitar for beginner guitarists. It is highly affordable, sounds good, feels highly comfortable, and is quite versatile. It can be preferred by younger musicians as well as adults as their first instruments. But, as it is a bit of a heavy guitar, it may not be suitable for kids. I have the Ice Blue color model, which looks pretty special as it is a blend of light blue and metallic colors. The color changes slightly with the light and appears gray or light blue depending on where you are. Donner has been the go-to brand for most beginner guitarists since the company was founded in 2012. With its cost-effective guitars, guitar accessories, and gear, such as effect pedals, Donner offers many products with great value-for-price ratios.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Donner is a relatively new China-based brand founded in 2012. Although the company is more focused on guitars and guitar accessories, especially effect pedals, they offer many different instruments, from keyboard to wind instruments, from drums to violins. The company offers mainly products for entry-level musicians.

Another great aspect of DST-152 is that it comes with an excellent accessory bundle. The bundle includes a gig bag, a Donner mini guitar amp, a USB charge cable for the amp, an AUX cable, a guitar cable, an extra string set, a capo, a guitar strap, a tuner, and two Hex keys’ (Allen wrench), one for adjusting the saddle and one for adjusting the truss rod. The Sound, The Feel Of The Donner DST-152 First, the volume knob affects your sound only from 5-10. It turns to silent when you reach 4, so it doesn’t give that good control over the volume. For me, this doesn’t really matter since I mostly adjust the tone knobs and only sometimes turn the volume to around 8 instead of 10. As mentioned before, the body type of DST-152 is Strat-style. It is a solid-body guitar with a poplar body and polyurethane body finish. Poplar is a great material for cost-effective guitars as it is lightweight and performs well acoustically. I rate this guitar 4.5 out of 5 for its sound and feel with the offered price. It is a great instrument with a very good value-for-price ratio.Although it is a newcomer in the musical instruments and accessories scene, Donner is well-known for its affordable yet surprisingly high-quality gear among musicians. It offers many products with a high value-for-price ratio, making the brand favorable among musicians who are after reliable instruments and accessories for reasonable prices. The setup the guitar came with is low, which is great. So it is ready to play out of the box. The 2-point bridge system is really good; I prefer it instead of the 5-point systems, as these ones are easier to set up. It is very impressive how much quality and versatility this guitar offers. The gig bag is not heavily padded but it seems strong and comfortable to carry around with nicely padded handles and shoulder straps. Let’s come to the fun part and take a deeper look at the specs of the Donner DST-152 and what it has to offer. General Series

As I already mentioned, this guitar had a really low action out of the box. After making it a bit higher to get rid of the fret buzz, handling this guitar and accessing all corners of the fretboard was really easy and smooth. Strings feel like the ones from the short-scale guitar(this donner has the regular scale of 25.5”) because they were so easy to fret and bend. The weight is a bit heavy for me, but this is my preference. It is not a very heavy guitar and would be okay for most of the players. However, the nut should be changed as the plastic nuts are not good in the long term. What if I did things the right way? The transparent way. I first run a vote on Youtube, I asked if it was okay to receive products for free and then provide an honest review. Here are the results:One of the most important things for me and my small hands is the playability of the guitar. And I was pleasantly surprised by the playability of this donner. But the overall versatility of this Donner really surprised me. It can handle music from soft country cleans to pretty meaty metal tones if the right amp is used (I recommend Fender Mustang LT25, Boss Katana 50 Mkii, or VOX Valvetronix 20). And this is why I think it’s a great choice, especially for beginners.
