About this deal

The scroll wheel has these tiny knobs on it for texture, and it is great to use. It’s virtually silent and the steps are clearly defined without ever feeling like you’ve got to break a piece of glass each time you’re scrolling past a step. The wheel is perhaps a tad heavier to press in than what I would personally like but it is well within the ‘reasonable’ range so this isn’t a huge complaint. All in all the scroll wheel that they’re offering here is great, both when it comes to performance (no steps were skipped) as well as the overall feel. Lift off distance is also configurable from low to high, but you’re generally going to want this set to low. Features & Software As seen on the Skoll, the Hati uses the ever more common hexagon holes to reduce the weight of the mouse, the Hati weighs a scant 60 grams, the 20 or so gram difference between the Hati and GPW is noticeable. Unlike the Skoll, the holes are not present on the sidewalls of the mouse, in its place is a standard matte plastic. Even when pressing hard on the mouse I don’t really notice the hexagon holes. There’s not much to cover here, the Hati uses the proven Pixart PMW3360, no acceleration, prediction, or angle snapping. The Hati can set DPI to as low as 100 and as high as 12000, in steps of 100, you also have the option to set horizontal and vertical DPI differently if you so choose.

Wrapping up the software options is a pretty basic macro editor, you can name and create a macro, hit record and the software will record inputs with delays, you can then map these macros to a mouse button. Warranty & Reliability This is a medium sized ambidextrous mouse with a safe shape so it’s gonna be great for a lot of gamers out there. Palm grippers with larger hands and/or people who like to have a ‘filled palm feeling’ should probably look somewhere else though. As is the case with the Skoll, G-Wolves have been heavily… borrowing from other designs for this mouse. The shape is extremely similar to the shape of the Logitech G Pro Wireless, so what you can expect here is a rather safe ambidextrous mouse that will suit a variety of grip types, but more on the shape and grip later.

Buttons & Scroll Wheel

The trend of G Wolves using proven and popular trend continues, the Hati very much resembles the Logitech G Pro Wireless in shape and size. The Hati is essentially a clone of the G Pro Wireless with a few minor button differences, as such, the Hati has a great safe shape that is compatible with a wide range of grips and medium hand sizes. The Hati is going to be best suited for claw, hybrid and fingertip grip while still being okay for smaller hand palm grips .

As far as I’m concerned there are two main ‘battles’ being fought between some mouse companies right now: the battle to have the lightest mouse, and then the battle to have the best cable. Some companies solve that last one by just going wireless (I can’t wait until we get these extremely lightweight wireless mice) of course, but if you’re asking me G-Wolves are clearly on top in the cable department at this point in time. Sensor and Everyday Performance Speaking of the software, G-Wolves employs a different approach in this regard as well. The software is a simple executable that does not require installation and can be run directly. Both RAM and CPU usage are minimal, yet all the important options are present. Effectively, this solution is quite similar to Logitech's Onboard Memory Manager, and just as pleasant to use. Frankly, I'd be really happy if every company would offer a software of this type: lightweight, light on bugs, and light on resources. My only dislike of the mouse is that when you try to remove the charging cable from the mouse it is quite stiff and hard to remove.

The shell is built really well and feels solid, it seems that the base has a lot of holes in it to lower the weight. You can get the latest version of the Hati software here: http://www.gm-wolves.com/app, search for HT-M3360 or HT-M3389. Now onto the software, it's nothing special and you can control LOD, DPI, debounce time and polling rate. You can assign other actions to buttons and record macros but its nothing special. I’m happy to report the side buttons being issue free, they’re tactile and responsive and have a pill design that make it easy to distinguish LMB4 to LMB5. There is slight creaking of the shell if you squeeze it quite hard but understandable for the weight of this mouse.
