At SPL levels above 160 dB some mechanical problems might occur (for example the voice coil might crash onto the magnet) but these SPL levels are very hard to find in real world. As always, the capsules can be rotated and the split headband ensures a perfect fit, not matter how hard you find yourself nodding your head while in the mix. Even if you find yourself mixing for long periods of time, the Sennhesier HD25 remain comfortable and they’re built to last – with a tough single-sided cable which can be detached if required.
