About this deal

The shots from the Picopresso taste (I must say) surprisingly great. They’re remarkably smooth and rich with a good amount of texture. While buying your grounds pre-ground means you’ve already achieved this perfectly fine grind, it is something we never recommend. As the espresso connoisseur you’re on your way to being, we recommend grinding your coffee beans fresh for a few reasons. Do they know what they’re talking about? Why not do a grinder review? I’m sure it would be much appreciated. Water above this temperature means you over dissolve these flavor compounds (unbalanced). Water below this temperature means they won’t dissolve as easily (weak). And, when you put it like that, it’s clear to see that paying attention to your water temperature might be one of the most overlooked factors in proper brewing.

Water storage – The water tank of a Nanopresso can hold up to 2.70oz of water. Because boiling water is added into the device to make the coffee, there is a chance of it burning your hand. To protect against this, the water tank and cup are both covered with a heatsink pattern so that it absorbs the heat rapidly. Power used – The Nanopresso uses 15% less power to push the pumping knob than all other models. The pressure required is 261 psi, which is equivalent to a force equal to 13 kg. For ease of use, it is recommended that the Nanopresso be held with two hands. Continue to disassemble your Nanopresso. Twist off the water tank and set it to the side with the portafilter head. Leave the pump in the extended pumping position. Smaller, Lighter - Takes less space and weighs less than previous models, making espresso more portable than ever. In look, price, and experience, the Nanopresso couldn’t be further than the top of the range espresso machines we’ve reviewed. And yet the taste is almost on par. It is more of a faff, it does involve boiling water and finding a flat spot if you’re outside, but the end result is seriously impressive.

Overall, no corners have been cut with all these accessories. It feels like quality all the way through. It looks a bit messy when all the accessories are spread out like that, but they everything fits neatly inside the case. Espresso quality There are a few simple steps to follow to clean your Nanopresso properly. By following these steps, you avoid common issues such as mineral build up, clogging from loose grounds, and more. For the Nanopresso, the ideal grind size is a small fine grind. Look for a size similar to table salt but slightly more refined. Once your grounds are ready, weigh out 8 grams for brewing with your Nanopresso.

Overall, the Flair Classic is still the better choice as a daily driver due to its more stationary design. Still, if you want some added travel flexibility, you should consider the Picopresso. Pros & Cons The standout feature is that it has an actual espresso basket inside, which can be used “bottomless,” meaning that your shots will look like they came out of a proper espresso machine in a hipster coffee shop. Wacaco Picopresso Accessories If you’ve never used an outdoor espresso maker before, it takes a bit of time to work out what each component is for, so this is definitely not one to try for the first time at 7am on a weekday morning, but it’s great for taking high quality espresso with you no matter where you're going. Pre-heating your Nanopresso helps warm the body of the brewer up so that your extraction is clean and smooth. When it’s time for the extraction, the ideal water temperature should be close to boiling, or about 195°F. The price tag might be a bit too much for some. However, I think it’s justified for a product with this level of finesse.Simon. I received the Nanopresso and I’m impressed, just as you are. If anything, it may be working ‘too well’. I’ll explain: In fact, we feel like it’s precisely because this machine is so simple and the technology is boiled right down to the essentials, that it’s easy to tweak and see immediate results. Within a few days, you do feel like you’re learning a lot about honing in on that perfect espresso. The Nanopresso water tank can hold up to 80ml of water and is lined and protected by the detachable cup. Both parts feature a heatsink pattern to absorb and protect your hands from heat. After each shot, Nanopresso cleaning takes only few seconds. When necessary, every componentof the portafilter are easily separated for deep cleaning.

Pumping force reduced – You only need the pumping force about the same as filling the tires of a bike. It is very easy and fast. The compression force required can vary between 6 to 12 kg, much less than the Nanopresso. We strive to ensure that your delivery arrives safely to you, but we understand that sometimes accidents happen outside of our control. Both of these models are very easy to use. You just put in the coffee and boiling water and work the piston to brew delicious coffee. Here we will analyze their features and how they are used. Nanopresso

Hello, I'm a coffeeholic - and no, I'm not ready to go to Caffiene Anonymous yet. I've been a barista for more than 5 years now, and giving up my delicious coffee during travel for an overpriced cup at a major chain finally gave me the push to get this machine. This works wonderfully and produces a quality shot of espresso with lots of crema and comparable flavor to my at-home Breville espresso bar! It's even smaller than a coffee mug, so very travel-friendly, and worth the investment! For an extra deep clean – and once every six months to one year – we recommend cleaning the metal mesh.
