Due to the way oud is harvested, it’s one of the most expensive fragrance notes. It’s safe to say that most commercial designer fragrances use a synthetic recreation of the note of oud. Nowadays, we can make recreations that come extremely close. Scent: Maison Francis Kurkdjian Oud is a fantastic fragrance with a smooth and refined scent of oud. This fragrance opens with a warm scent of saffron and oud, immediately setting the tone for this fragrance. The oud is rich, warm, and dark, but also smooth and refined, making it extremely pleasant. The saffron is warm and spicy and even a little sweet, making the fragrance a bit more interesting. As this fragrance starts to dry down, some woody notes start to appear, serving as a nice base for the oud to thrive on. Overall, this is an amazing fragrance with a lovely scent of oud.

Best for: Amouage Epic Woman is an incredible fragrance that’s best worn during the colder months. Here, the warm and rich scent will be subdued a bit, making it much more enjoyable. During the colder months, you can easily wear this one casually throughout the day or at night, but it will also work wonders in a more formal setting. 2. Gucci Intense Oud But but but....longevity? For the grand price Louis Vuitton are asking.... (not asking, really, they just charge you 300 euros and holds up the door as you leave the boutique)....i need better longevity. Everything about it is so smooth and pleasant. I’m addicted to this scent. Something about this is so nostalgic and familiar in the best way, but I can’t put my finger on what it is, still it makes me happy. Les Sables Roses has made its way into my collection of favourite fragrances of all time. A fragance i will suggest (instead) is La Fille de Berlin Serge Lutens. There we have a even brighter rose than in Les Sables Roses. Ahmed Al Maghribi’s offering doesn’t shy away from attention. Aside from standing out, it also marks your presence wherever you go. Be a head-turner in an instant, thanks to its floral and fruity fragrance mix that feels refreshing but not too intoxicating. Made from one of the priciest perfume ingredients in the world, its head note alone charms even the most sensitive and softens the toughest. Wear it for a date and appear as sweet and sultry without trying so hard. Unlike other perfumes out there, Oud and Roses doesn’t steal the spotlight from you. Rather, it complements who you really are. Its vibrant yet gentle mix of oud and rose notes is symbolic of your multifaceted personality. You can be strong yet sweet, sexy yet pure, and hopeful yet realist and the fragrance will suit you not just fine, but perfectly. Scent: Versace Oud Oriental is a fantastic entry-level oud fragrance. This fragrance opens with a powdery scent of fresh floral notes, supported by a touch of spicy saffron. Shortly after the opening, the floral become more pronounced, especially the note of rose, giving the fragrance a fresh and luxurious feel. As this fragrance starts to dry down, a dark, yet subtle scent of oud starts to appear. The oud isn’t really the star in this fragrance, but it does give it a darker feel.

Performance is something, i wish was better. It is good, don't worry but i wish it was as good as Nomad or Imagination. It does last on skin for about 4-5 hours with very subtle, shy projection. You would be enjoying the whiffs but others may not. Notes: The notes of Diptyque Oud Paleo are tobacco, oud, rum, sandalwood, vanilla, camphor, labdanum, patchouli, and rose. But, it's dna is a bit dated, and some smelling the strong whiffs over & over throughout the day may run the risk of finding this cloying. Some females i have given samples to have replied that at times it's headache inducing. So go get yourself a free tester at the store and try on your skin first before buying a bottle. Scent: Amouage Epic Woman is a fantastic fragrance with a rich and spicy scent. This fragrance immediately opens with a bunch of warm spices, creating a rich and dry feel. Shortly after the opening, some woody notes start to appear alongside a warm and sweet hint of amber. The amber and woods go perfectly with the spices, creating a scent that’s full of depth. As this fragrance starts to dry down, you can notice the beautiful scent of oud, giving the fragrance a rich, dark, and slightly soft feel. This review may seem a little contradictory at first but bear with me all-in-all it's a positive review.Notes: The top notes of Maison Francis Kurkdjian Oud Satin Mood are violet, rose, benzoin, rose, vanilla, and oud. Floating on cloud made of roses just after sunset. That's the image that always gets evoked whenever I apply this perfume. This is an airy yet dense rose perfume with darkness around its edges. Notes: The notes of Le Labo Oud 27 are civet, aldehydes, ambergris, vetiver, oud, amber, cedar, rose, patchouli, and musk. The scent lasts and that rose scent lingers for hour after hour. I found the musk dissipates after 5-6 hours but that beautiful rose just hangs out. On my skin, with my pH, this is not bad and I don’t find it a headache at all. Again, I think this comes down to the quality and attention to good ingredients. Currently this is my go to scent. If I was a pimp, this would be my bottom bitch, and she is holding me down. Firstly, 2 calibrate our scent senses, I love orientals, gourmands but not so much florals. I also like musk but not crazy about sharp or floral musks, rather I like the softer rounded out musks and even like sandalwood. If u like both florals and white musk which is a floral musk, this is 4 u.

The problem with writing this review is that I have so so much to say about not only this fragrance, but Louis Vuitton parfums in general. This fragrance is a home run for me, me being the key word. And if you want a "masculine" dark rose, you could try Garanat from Bvlgari. (A favorite, projection and longevity super de luxe). The blend is dark enough to worn by either gender and radiates best in colder months or summer nighttimes. A timeless fragrance trail of rose and oud wood to taste the infinite desert. To those that say these are nothing special in the oud/rose category....jog on! I totally disagree. Scent: Comme Des Garcons Daphne is a great fragrance with a warm scent of white florals. This fragrance opens with a strong blast of white florals, mainly tuberose. This creates a fresh and almost green opening that smells very nice. Shortly after the opening, though, the fragrance turns a little sweeter and darker. Hints of oud, vanilla, and even smoky incense start to appear, giving the fragrance some depth and warmth. In the end, you’re left with a warm scent of oud and white florals.It will stay on skin for some time and projects above average when I've apply 4+ sprays, so be mindful of your environment when you choose this. Oud and ambergris is soft and tuned down, this is not offensive or fecal. Don´t get the heavy ambergris some of you are talking about. No problem! Scent: Montale White Aoud is an amazing fragrance with a soft but strong scent of oud. When you first spray this fragrance, you’re greeted by a fresh and natural scent of rose. Along with the rose are some soft spices, mainly cardamom and saffron, giving off a warm edge. From here, a stunning scent of oud starts to arise, which is neither too strong nor too soft. This makes for a truly fantastic fragrance with a rich, warm, and slightly sweet scent of rose, oud, and spices.
