Toy SafetySafety in the design and manufacture of toys is the BTHA’s highest priority and all members of the BTHA are required to adhere to the Code of Practice and ensure that all products conform to EN 71 and, where appropriate, EN 62115 (electrical toys). The Association promotes the highest standards of safety and quality in the manufacture of toys, games and playthings. Our unique range of children's birthday gifts and ready wrapped birthday gifts are very popular and we have one of largest ranges of Helium Balloons in Leeds. This year we have decided not to award an overall Retailer of the Year as toy retail from every quarter contributed massively. We also facilitate contributions to discussions on offering services, play and communications with children and their families. To ensure these toys are safe for the users, we have produced a guidance document for members to refer to when manufacturing the toys to help them manage the risks associated with connected toys.Code of PracticeBTHA Members make an annual commitment to the BTHA's Code of Practice which covers ethical manufacturing, compliance with appropriate legislation as well as a commitment to reduce their environmental impact.

I’d also like to give a special thank you to Golden Bear who have created these bespoke Superhero awards for us.These retailers all displayed great community spirit in various ways such as by partnering with other local businesses and providing toys and packages to local food banks and those in need during the pandemic, as well as providing free resources online and toys in boredom busting boxes to keep children occupied whilst at home. We are mindful that there have been many great acts of support and generosity during the pandemic across the industry but the panel can only judge those who entered or were nominated. We have Giant Numbers in 11 different colours and our range of printed balloons include ages from 1 to 100, new baby, christening and birthday. It is awarded to individuals who have made a truly outstanding and significant contribution to the toy industry. The toy industry has proved just how special it is this year in coming together and I congratulate everyone involved.
