Adjusting the regulator is by lifting the black knob on the top and rotating clockwise to increase and anti-clockwise to reduce pressure. I tend to release the air pressure from the tank overnight or when I am not going to be using the airbrush for a longish period as I figure that it lowers the strain on joints and hence lessens the risk of leaks developing. I’m just mentioning this now as you need to look at all the angles when putting down that kind of spend.

Airbrush Compressors Airbrush Compressors

This is the AS186 model most of us have used at some point, like the Bambi, it does have a reservoir. Airbrush Pro'scompressors are ultra quiet with a db rating of less than 55 and include a fully adjustable pressure regulator gauge with moisture filter. Most reviews show the airbrush to be shit, but I’m curious about the compressor and pairing it with a better brush. As with all things, get the best setup you can afford, set yourself a budget, and try to stick to it, if you know a friend with a setup, ask them if you can have a go and get some experience with how you work. Our air compressor AS186, together with tank and airbrushes, can be widely used in craft work spraying, cosmetics, tanning, hobbies/models, fingernail painting, and general airbrushing. The most suitable compressors for airbrushuse need to adhere to basic requirements, oil free, moisture and dust free at the point of output to the airbrush.

Hobby compressor with air tank Fengda® AS-186

When running the compressor was pretty quiet, it was possible to listen to the radio whilst running. Just checked that compressor mate, if the brush is poor, id try and find an as18 or something similar at least, then get a decent brush in a few months time. Prior to removing the drain valve its not a bad idea to wear rubber gloves and place a large open tray under the tank to catch the discoloured water. Pump motor seems hot too the touch after a couple of hours use but not not enough for the thermal cut-out to kick in.That Aztek looks plasticy and doesnt have a reservoir, its a diaphragm compressror as well, ill admit to knowing nothing about these so cant tell you if theyre any good for hobby stuff. A friend of mine has the first one for several years now (the one with the vents on the end of the casing). This compressor is suitable for commercial spraying, cosmetics, nail studios and Tattoo designs, illustrations, hobbies and modelling.
