About this deal

The sexual awkwardness is the usual for this kind of story, with the protagonist spending far too many words explaining why he felt uncomfortable undressing a wounded woman, and the same woman later admiring him in her mind (over and over) for not taking advantage of her. The series Beware Of Chicken contain intense violence, blood/gore,sexual content and/or strong language that may not be appropriate for underage viewers thus is blocked for their protection. All in all, what starts as a cozy ride with endearing characters evolves and grows as the world starts to take notice of a new power. Though, it just never ends with the exception of 1 character mid-way, who then ends up being the same. The supporting cast life solely revolves around Jin, the main character, and makes everyone feel one-dimensional.

He had no real opinion on the two, honestly, though the story the woman, Chyou, had told was pretty interesting. Xianghua genuinely seemed to think it was a compliment, and his brother, after recovering, reached out for her, pulling her into his side.A fresh, nice take on xianxia, with some young masters, a cultivating chicken, a rational and grounded MC and so far, a really pleasent vibe, with some looming complications on the way. Absently, he reached back into his pouch and rubbed the inert chunk of stone that was Nezan—or at least a part of him. He had a hunch it was made out of some of those mushrooms Bi De had brought back from his own journey, and he’d certainly have to steal some. The hardest problems aren't ones that power can solve, they're universal, internal, and interpersonal.

But it does seem that most of the books I liked I either forgot about or in some way grew out of liking them. Jin is strong and kind despite the history in this world generally saying a cultivator is a horrendous person, so anyone who meets him is pleasantly surprised. Mist still shrouded the ground in the area of the forest they had wandered to on the edge of Jin’s property. Instead of a lifetime of battle, my biggest concerns are building a house, the size of my harvest, and the way the girl from the nearby village glares at me when I tease her. Attacked by a wicked, vile thing, that sought to hurt them while they were still weak, still injured. It shrieked and whimpered, pulling and tugging at the line, and trying to sever this unwelcome hold that led directly to it. However, the protagonist Jin Rou, or rather the person that transmigrated into his body, has no interest in ascending to the heavens, becoming the most powerful cultivator known to mankind, or even defeating the hordes of demons ravaging the land. The answer, I think, is the wish fulfillment aspect of it, which is done quite badly here in general: The protagonist reincarnates from our world into a fantasy world, but it seems the author didn't put much thought into why.

Even as stakes get higher and perils increase, our characters remain endearing and forgiving and determined to help where they can, and to be silly when they can too. But it just so happens that working on his farm gives him amazing Chi powers and makes him a much stronger fighter.

The colour had been incredibly vibrant, and after his outrage had died down it had actually been kind of nice. But in spite of that my enjoyment of this story has been deep and enduring and it feels cozy to wrap myself up in, even when it keeps me up because i can't just stop at the end of the chapter. It's noted early on that Azure Hills, the province he's settled in, is rather sparse in Qi, to the point that high level cultivators consider the area beneath their notice, so it's ambiguous whether Jin really is getting stupid strong by being in tune with nature or something, or if his place of birth is so dense in Qi that he's only strong compared to what the province has to offer, while still being a low level schmuck by the standards of the sect he just left. These massive Spirit Plants are native to whats known as the Deep Fenns, an area of the Misty Lake that his pervaded by a poisonous fog. Gou Ren had been using Jin’s recording crystal more, especially when they had carved all the gourds.
