Amit Lodha, IG SCRB (State Crime Records Bureau), Police headquarters, Patna, whose two books Bihar Diaries and Life In Uniform have been adapted into a series for a streaming platform, says, “On streaming platforms, police investigations can be dealt with in a nuanced manner and it attracts viewers too. As a memoir, 'Bihar Diaries' shines - Amit Lodha talks about his motivations as a cop, investigation techniques, his punishment postings, and how even servicemen in the hallowed IPS wonder 'what if? It is a very simple Chor-Police story about how the then SP of Shekhpura - Mr Amit Lodha - caught the most notorious and feared gangster Vijay Samrat and his aide Horlicks Samrat through some very intelligent policing and Mobile Phone technology which was way ahead of its time then. Amit Lodha pulls out smart moves throughout although things feel a bit stretched at times and his character ethics makes the show a bit frustrating at times. Gripping performance of all the actors in a harsh series which shows people stranded in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands after the outbreak of a mysterious disease.

Watch | Khakee The Bihar Chapter trailer: Neeraj Pandey pits idealistic Karan Tacker against brown-faced Avinash Tiwary in new Netflix show Avinash Tiwary and Ravi Kishan in a still from Khakee: The Bihar Chapter. The cinematography (Hari Nair, ISC) does well to capture the lush green expanses of Bihar as the show traverses through its political and criminal landscape and retaining the very real and rustic feel. The two movies that the essay picked up for review were ones where the big baddy was not too much in evidence.

It was a posting he was not looking forward to, Lodha said, as he was used to serving in comparatively better and more urban areas like Muzaffarpur, Nalanda and Patna. While Karan Tacker will play the upright officer Amit Lodha, Avinash Tiwary will essay the role of a gangster, inspired by several criminals from Bihar. Fast paced and riveting, it gives us a peek into the world of organised crime, the unholy Nexus between police, politician and criminals. Relationship between crime and politics thus comes into the open and criminals demand their share in power. The book has the inherent limitation that its highs, lows, and emotional junctures are dependent on the connect and visualisation of the reader. There is a lot of curiosity these days around the name Chandan Mahto, a dreaded gangster from Bihar. The author did a fab job in penning down his experiences and also sharing what kind of a person he is. And in a clash between rival political parties Abhyuday Singh's gang including Chandan Mahto end up killing five men from the Yadav community. I got to know about this book when I listened the Author's TedEx talk and decided to give it a shot.

Samant cruelity came in limelight as one of the most brutal massacre at Aspadh Vilalge, Nawada which had taken place on 11 June 2000. Moreover, our team will try to find the information about his personal life and update this section.Amazing story, impeccable direction, outstanding acting (not just the lead actors but also all tje supporting cast). Vijay Samrat – the criminal who had grown over the years into a crime hungry person pleased with the sight of blood. They have suddenly arrived and started firing on the family of the independent MLA Aruna Devi, Wife of Akhilesh Singh Samant’s arch enemy. But I was wrong, ever so often Lodha adds detail to his characters, his wife, a member of his team, a sidekick of Vijay Samrat's, that has no bearing on the cat-and-mouse story but layers the way we see those characters.

Created by Neeraj Pandey 'Khakee: The Bihar Chapter' is based on IPS officer's Amit Lodha's book, 'Bihar Diaries - The true story of how Bihar's most dangerous criminal was caught. The last episode is a bit slow and i was expecting intense fightback scenes by his gang members when Chandan was arrested and taken back (okay listen this is not a spoiler. The whole story of how this brave IPS officer overcame his challenges and nabbed the gangster in the notorious state of Bihar with its lawlessness, was very impressive.

The series follows the birth of this gangster and how Amit Lodha uses his brains and muscles to track down this dreaded criminal, who even has the courage to do a Kasab like horrendous act in a village.
