In 1890, the word "Canadian" was moved down from the top of the label and incorporated into the name of the whisky.

Club Whisky became very popular and American distillers petitioned for the inclusion of the word "Canada" on the bottle to distinguish it from their competing whiskies, thinking it would hamper the popularity of Walker's. For the whisky's 150th anniversary in 2008, a 30-year-old version was released in a very limited bottling.It was created in the heart of Alberta’s unforgiving rye country, by a team who have spent the last 60 years mastering the art of distilling with rye. This second campaign ended in 1981; between it and the first, 22 cases were hidden and at least 16 recovered.
