About this deal

This morning, thinking about this story, I asked the most convenient person in my home: "What happened to Goldilocks?

I have always been interested in the origin of fairy tales ever since being given some fabulous complete works as a young girl. As they left moments later a little girl that goes by the name of Goldie Locks crept into their home she started off by sitting in each chair, papa bear chair was to big, momma bears was uncomfortable and baby bear was just right but she was to heavy and baby bear chair broke. It contains various lessons, and that I am pretty sure the child will acknowledge, even without ux pointing them out. It's too bad that she doesn't finish the story with more bite, as Papa Bear is clearly more than a match for the silly little milkmaid.

The original version of the tale tells of an impudent old woman who enters the forest home of three anthropomorphic bachelor bears while they are away. and then when she finds a place that is very obviously and recognisably Someone Else’s House, she decides to walk right in and help herself to whatever she can find. She has to spit out that porridge, try the second bowl and then, she gobbles up the last bowl full of porridge.

She tries the porridge, sits in the bears chairs, and laid in their beds to try to find the best fit for her. We opened it together and sat down to read it when I discovered that the author removed the nuclear family from the story. Jan Brett's illustrations are so beautifully detailed, breathing new life into this classic fairy tale and delighting a whole new generation of little ones. Up she started, and when she saw the Three Bears on one side of the bed, she tumbled herself out at the other, and ran to the window. Yet again Daddy Bear's is excessively hard, Mom Bear's is excessively delicate, yet Child Bear's is perfect.I would use this book when working with children to show how it is wrong to take things that do not belong to you. There were so many clues that Goldilocks could have seen to know that bears lived in that litle house there were pictures, locks of hair, and self pportraits done by little bear. Always thought Goldilocks was a hideous child, spoilt, selfish – verging on sociopathic – and was always disappointed that she doesn’t receive the fitting punishment casually meted out in so many fairy tales of being eaten. Curiosity she states to explore the cottage to find three different sizes of porridge, their different size chairs, and three different size beds. Goldilocks quickly posted negative reviews of the first two books on her iPad and settled down to enjoy her new acquisition.
