About this deal

Don't worry I wasn't offended I just wanted to be clear that I'm aware of the balance of fish safety and effectiveness. If you truly believe that this issue is costing you fish then you need to be thinking about the feeding situation imo. Running rigs are often overlooked in modern day carp fishing but they can be a deadly tactic in the right situation. The way to set them up is like a standard inline set up but you don’t want the swivel to be pulled into the lead insert, so you can either use a smaller swivel so it has a loose fit or put a bead on top of the swivel to ensure the lead cannot pull over it. Inline inserts, two sizes to cover all inline leads, Back Lead Clips, two types in various colour options.

For distance work with shock leaders or when using long lengths of lead core, remove the stiff tube insert from inline leads, and replace with the Inline Lead Leader Insert. We are a credit broker, not a lender – credit is subject to status and affordability, and is provided by a panel of lenders of whom we have a commercial relationship. Torpedo-like tournament style inline leads may be easy to cast at range, but can roll on uneven lakebed features like gravel bars or the marginal shelf.A ring swivel is fused at one end and a small fused loop protrudes from the other, to which you can attach your main line via either your choice of knot, or the quick-change loop-to-loop method. It would be advised to use a hook link with some sort of coating to help with the anti-tangle properties of the rig to ensure on the cast the rig is separated from the line eliminating tangles.

The effect you describe with fish biting and not detecting is precisely what happens to me when the lead slides and the fish can move a bit of line around when the lead is left in the weed. So, initially the carp will feel the resistance of the lead helping to locate a good hook hold - but as soon as it shakes its head or tries spitting the hook, the lead will be dislodged from the swivel to become a running set-up.Johnson Ross Tackle first opened its doors over 30 years ago, it has always been a family run business. Each Tidy Stem has a Size 8 Ring Swivel or Quick Change Swivel at the business end for attaching your rig and a fluorocarbon loop protruding from the reverse of the Tidy Stem for attaching your mainline. If they are feeding that gingerly that the lead systems that work for everyone else are not working for you then there is something fundamentally wrong with feeding situation. Your dispute or complaint will then be acknowledged within 2 working days and solved as soon as possible.

Lead Coating powder in numerous colours including Camo 2, Camo 3, Camo 4 and Mottled Brown along with Silt and various gravel colours. These leads are perfect for anywhere that you need more grip, like rivers, on the sides of bars, marginal slopes or boating out at extreme range. Diffusion Camo Inline Lead Leader Inserts allow you to drop the lead to safely land carp in weed and snags.

Im totally not sure this is the most effective way to fish in this lake but I have been fishing it for more than 12 years as a "home lake" and I´ve tried most there is imo, with pretty good success all in all. The popularity of solid bag fishing has risen massively as people have come to recognise just how effective the presentation is. There is a couple of different ways you can fish them, one being the traditional way of just having a Helicopter sleeve and a top bead. However, on two occasions I have caught a 6-inch carp on a 20mm boilie, even though the boilie was too big to fit inside its mouth. The standard Tidy Stem is designed to loop directly on to your main line when fishing ‘naked’ with the loop-to-loop method.

My Fox COG leads turned up in the post today so I am going to be in my element experimenting with them. Often I have wound in and found something small on the end that not only has wasted all the time that rig was in the water but, if it had been a breakoff, would have killed that small fish. Prick the fish– If your rig can’t prick the fish in the first place then it’s useless and you may as well lob it up a tree! My solution, which I confess no one else seems to like, is to turn your weight into an active bolt lead. It’s always worth moistening the clip before you push the tail rubber over to ensure should you have a break off the fish can still get rid of the lead.It is probably one of the most popular lead arrangements in modern day carp fishing because it is so versatile, you can set it up to be semi fixed, or to drop the lead on the take, it all depends on how far you push the tail rubber over the clip. Run the main line or leader over the top of the lead, and push fit the swivel in the soft grip rubber bead at the nose, securing over the stem of the lead at the rear with a tail rubber. Within the range you will find leaders, hooklinks, clips, sleeves, shrink tube and gizmos that have been designed in conjunction with their consultant and underwater diver Rob Hughes, so that their colours and appearance best match a whole host of different lakebed make-ups a massive edge in itself! These Inline Lead Inserts provide universal fit replacement soft rubber inserts that grip Uni and Uni Ring Swivels, allowing in line leads to discharge safely over spliced loops and leader knots. Positively indicate a pick up – Bite indication is a lot more complicated than simply using a bite alarm!
