About this deal

It’d be nice to learn more about Charles himself, what shaped him, what brought him the greatest joy in life, how that could inspire others. The series explores the lives of notable people, from designers and artists to scientists and activists. Striking while the iron's hot, you could say, this volume in this humongous series sides with the charitable work and the environmental aspect of Charles III's life prior to becoming king, and ends with the hopeful note that he intended to reign without letting anyone down. I was curious how it was going to handle the Princess Diana/Camilla situation, and it did so by saying sadly he and Diana had little in common and divorced, at which time he later married Camilla, his "closest friend for thirty-five years".

Meet Ella Fitzgerald, First Lady of Song who once said, "It's not where you come from, but where you're going that counts. With a range of Little People, Big Dreams activities to choose from, you're sure to find something for you!

Meet three inspirational Earth Heroes whose love of the natural world inspires them to make a difference: Jane Goodall, Greta Thunberg, and David Attenborough! Maria Isabel Sánchez Vegara’s King Charles is part of the Little People, Big Dreams series, which includes illustrated biographies of notable figures such as Stephen Hawking and Michelle Obama. The book is a short biography for children with fantastic illustrations and information that can be used for small discussions with children as the book is read. He is an interesting subject and my kids and I really enjoyed reading about him in an interesting way that kept all of us entertained.Welcome to the home of Little People, BIG DREAMS, the best-selling biography series for kids by Maria Isabel Sánchez Vegara. The text is easy to understand for children and the illustrations are simple but lovely and convey a lot of personality.

I’m not a monarchist, but I admire what King Charles III has accomplished, stuck as he was, and what I think of as his quiet, informed persistence. While the sweet innocence and naivety of assuming we could just go visit the king had me laughing, I think we will stick to learning more about him through literature. In dit geval een groot applaus voor Matt Hunt; zijn tekeningen zijn én realistisch én super schattig tegelijk. I think he may have inherited the best of two very different parents (not to mention the Queen Mother).

Although he didn’t do very well at school, Charles Darwin was passionately curious about wildlife, humans, and plants. I urge you to have a look at this very short interview with him in 2020 that harks back to that speech, 50 years earlier.
