Our former defender Ben Judge will be sharing stories about AFC Wimbledon's rise through non league on Saturday. Shaun catapulted to national prominence and recognition when, on the 5th December 2004, he became the first black person to win the BBCs renowned Mastermind. Maintaining his dominance in the field, Shaun has also appeared on the likes of: The Weakest Link, Celebrity Catchphrase and Countdown, proving he really is brilliantly brainy. Shaun is a very impressive Chaser; he ranked 286th in the World Quizzing Championships in 2012 and he also won Mastermind in 2004, making it no surprise that he joined The Chase in 2009 to wow us with his knowledge.

His real name is Shaun Anthony Linford Wallace and is known for being an English television personality and a barrister.Since 2009, he has become a household name, regularly appearing as The Dark Destroyer on the smash ITV hit teatime quiz show, The Chase.

Taking on contestants in a battle of quizzing knowledge, Shaun has defeated many contestants with his intricate and detailed knowledge of everything from history and football to geography and literature. Born on the 2nd of June 1960 to Jamaican parents, Shaun is a Londoner born and bred, and has been a devoted Chelsea fan since 1967. Shawn is a voice actor for animated films and television series, including Rex in the Toy Story franchise, Monsters, Inc. In 2020, Shaun appeared in Racism: My Story, a Channel 5 programme responding to the rising racial tensions across the globe, as well as Good Morning Britain. The Dark Destroyer isn’t short of wit as well as intelligence, and he’s been the cause of some very tense shows.He was first into the limelight after being recognized as the 286th in the World Quizzing Championships in the year 2012.
