Do you have to wear a veil at your wedding? The veil is a decorative bridal piece steeped in custom, but that doesn’t mean it’s essential. If you’re anything but traditional, you may decide to go without. But, it may be worth trying a wedding veil on before making your final choice. For a quirkier retro-style option, consider the playful birdcage veil, which can also be worn in the evening too.

If you want to go all-out, a cathedral-length veil makes the most dramatic of entrances. If your dress is already sparkly, you can go one of two ways with the veil.
