Description

This mechanism favors the left magazine on a fully-loaded Artemis, as the rotating chamber advances counter-clockwise. The Artemis is a solid spring-powered blaster, and a great way to get into the joys of NERF’s Rival series. The grip is a good size and comfortable shape, regardless of how big your hands are, and it has an ambidextrous two-way-push safety catch within easy reach. The Artemis is a pump-action blaster that features three integrated magazines that hold ten High-Impact Rounds each, and a front turret system that rotates on the prime. The weapon is made of durable plastic and can be easily modified with rails and other attachments that can be attached to the blaster.

The Rival Artemis is an ideal introduction to this more advanced blaster series, and offers decent value for money. A couple of sling points are provided at the back, which means you’ll have to carry the Artemis barrel-down if you want to stick a shoulder strap on it. It features one very long tactical rail on top of the blaster and another on the side, giving plenty of room for add-ons and attachments. This is not too bad, but once in awhile, I found myself dry-fire and then have two rounds pop out a prime or two later. Each time you prime the Artemis, there are four short ‘barrels’ that rotate on the front, which doesn’t seem to serve any purpose, but looks fun. With that in mind, it’s good to know that the NERF Rival Hades will always give you one of the best shooting experiences. Yes, you cannot swap it out in the way you can with a mag fed blaster, but I rarely found this an issue.

So if you only have time to load say six rounds, put two into each magazine and you’ll be able to fire six consecutive rounds without dry-firing.This was only when I was going nuts with slam fire, which is most jams and malfunctions occur but I did not get any actual jams, just this, which is not too bad when you consider the amount of grief I was giving it! Also, the idea of shooting for a long time without running out of ammo is quite exquisite and an enjoyable experience.

In this article, I will share my nine favorite Rival blasters and tell you everything you need to know about this awesome blaster line! The Artemis XVII-3000 is named after Artemis, the Greek goddess of the hunt, forests and hills, the moon, and archery. Since I love to be on the move, this makes it an excellent blaster for my style of play as it is small, light, can be slung and does not have any of the noise or delay before firing of flywheel blasters. There is no need for any batteries or even magazines, so this is one of the easiest blasters to get started with. This blaster is larger than normal and therefore targets only a specific group of people, namely those who have the play style for which it is suitable.

The NERF Rival Artemis XVII-3000 is a spring-powered, pump-action blaster that holds an impressive 30 rounds in the integrated magazines. The rechargeable battery bundled with this blaster is proprietary; it will only work on this model from Prometheus Tech. When you pull the priming handle back and then push it forward again, it primes the spring and you are ready to fire.

It has a single tactical rail and a two strap points; one on the rear of the blaster and one built into the blaster's handle. It looks to have solved both of those issues in an unusual way, so could this replace the Alpha Trooper as my spring-powered primary NERF gun of choice? Launch each round with calculated targeting, or inundate opponents by unleashing all 30 rounds rapidly with slam-fire action. There’s no worrying about eating through expensive batteries and fumbling with fiddly magazine systems like there is with the Rival Khaos and Rival Zeus, yet it’s almost as compact as the Rival Apollo and Rival Atlas, and has better ammo capacity than both. This process makes for a smooth shooting experience, which is why you never experience jammed loads. The trigger lock and tactical rail provide a safe and reliable mechanism, while the capacity of 60 shots ensures that you can have a lot of fun with your friends. Named after the Goddess of the Hunt, The Artemis has an impressive 30 round capacity, but it does not come with magazines.
